Chapter 4.5 - A Crack I'm The Glass
The air was sweet,flowery-even a bit citric as if there was a field of fruits that surrounded the lonely open space. The wind was not much help, it made all these scents blend together. It caused a stir of emotions that brought both pleasant memories of the past and grim hopes for the future.
The wind let itself rustle in the trees, its leaves making a peaceful ruffling noise and sway towards the long field of grass. The wind wanted nothing more than to announce that it or rather he had arrived.
Draco sighed once more, not surprised at where he was today. He constantly circled around looking for the path he had always taken each time he was here.
The wind pushed harder forcing the young man to move in the direction he wanted. Draco cursed and followed quickly, it wasn't as far as he had always thought it to be. It was a step or two away just as it had been each time he arrived.
To say, that he was irritated could not summarize all of his emotions.
Draco stumbled along the rocky path, the dirt on the grass floor only ruining his soles. Draco noticed that the path was no longer a pure white as it had once been, it didn't matter. It never mattered to him how it really looked until now.
He wondered if this had to do with how he was feeling.
Again, the wind pushed harder. Draco had to walk faster now. This dreamscape didn't feel the same as the ones he had, had before. It had always been safe, with birds that sang high in the blue sky and animals that roamed around. Not this lonely land that seemed to flicker with strong winds with a cloudy sky.
One moment Draco could have sworn he was in his room. Then again he never warmed him when he wanted to talk. They would come together when he wanted not when Draco wanted to, which constantly made him paranoid and frustrated.
Draco could see the end of the path, he was almost there. He scrunched up his nose the bothersome hidden smell behind the sweet one was burning his nostrils. It almost made him cough and gag at it. His skin still crawled with goosebumps as he ran one of his hands up trying to get rid of them.
