It was already an hour into the walk when his stomach had began to grumble in hunger.
"We should search for some food." Harry darted his eyes for any surrounding critter that flew towards its nest. "We didn't have anything to eat, and I know you have had an empty stomach for awhile."
"I agree with you for once." Malfoy brushed his hand through his blond hair, forcing his fingers down when it caught into a tangle he had. "I believe I saw a birds just now, and berries nearby."
"I'll get the eggs while you gather berries. Does that sound fine to you?"
Malfoy shrugged in response and walked away to gather berries he had found.
Harry inched his way towards the tree and clung his hand onto the branch as he pulled himself up. His hands alternating each and every time he grew closer to the nest.
A small part of him felt pity for the mother bird that would come back home with no one to wait for her anymore. On the other hand, he was starving and wanted to live another day.
He gathered the eggs and placed them into the pocket of his jacket.
Instead of going back down he climbed higher to get a better view of the land.
"Holy shit." Harry muttered as caught sight of the land of monsters. It was very much different from where he was. That land was foggy and it sent shivers down his back each second he continued to stare. A death omen that was written all over it if he were to take one step inside.
With one last look he started to come down from the tree. He stood waiting for Malfoy to join him.
He grew impatient after five minutes.
He cursed and ran the direction he had last seen the other. "I knew I shouldn't have left him to go off by himself!" Harry tripped midway but quickly pulled himself up," Stupid fucking tree."
"Shit!"
The cursing pulled Harry out of his own thoughts. He ran faster and frowned at what he was witnessing.
