It was already night time.

In the Kim household, the little Baram was in bed, sleeping peacefully.

Namjoon, him, just came back from work.

Every day, he got out of work to pick up Baram from school, take him home and have a snack with him before going back to the office, that was his routine.

It was a moment both of them cherished, and even though he was still a child, Baram understood that his father did as best as he could to have that time with him every day.

Being at the head of a company, Namjoon didn't have lots of free time, but he still did the most for Baram.

He wanted to be a great dad his son could look up to, no matter what.

"So what did that teacher want ?"

Namjoon sighed, taking off his glasses to massage his nose bridge, already irritated by the mere sound of his wife's voice.

"Baram is too distracted, it's because we keep fighting."

Jieun scoffed, putting her hair up in a bun as she tapped her face cream on her skin.

"What does this have to do with us fighting ? Why can't she mind her business ?"

"Because it's her job Jieun-ah." He answered, already feeling drained just by being in the same room as her.

"So ? I don't see how our family-"

"See, you're starting again, this is exactly why our son is troubled."

Namjoon didn't had time for this today, or any other day at all.

They both got married at a young age, they were highschool sweethearts.

At first everything was fine, they were a happy married couple with a son, living in their huge penthouse Namjoon's position could afford them easily.

He was the CEO of one of South Korea's biggest companies, taking the lead after his father.

Jieun was an housewife, taking care of the house and Baram.

The problems started when Namjoon was going through a hard time at work, meaning he was only coming home to sleep, and then jumped right back to work.

They drifted apart, and unfortunately, Jieun didn't seem to understand that the lifestyle she was living would be at risk if the company goes bankrupt, her husband being at the head of said company.

The lack of communication got ahold of them, and sadly, the only thing keeping them together was their son.

They always kept him out of their arguments, but looks like that day was an exception.

"Our son is troubled because he has a noisy teacher and a father that seemed to be married to his work."

"Our son is troubled because his mother is being whinier than him, and he's five years-old." Namjoon responded.

Jieun turned to him, raising a brow in disbelief.

"So wanting my husband to be home once in a while is too much ?"

"I'm home right now, aren't I ?" Namjoon answered, taking off his tie.

"You think you're so smart right now, don't you ?"

"Yeah because out of the two of us, I seem to be the only one to understand that the high-life will disappear if I don't put in the work." Namjoon slightly raised his voice.

"Who are you yelling at ?" She raised her voice louder.

"At the stupid bitch in front of me !"

They both went silent, just staring at each other angrily.

Namjoon looked at her with a clenched jaw, trying to calm himself down, but even his own home wasn't as relaxing as it's supposed to be.

The mutual respect was lost long ago, cussing at each other being more frequent than being affectionate.

Needless to say, their sex life was also non-existent, making them both frustrated and hence, releasing it on each other verbally.

Namjoon sighed, rubbing his temples as he stood up.

"I'm going out for a drink, you're stressing me out more than I need to right now."

Jieun scoffed at that, crossing her arms against her chest.

"Just say you're seeing someone, give me a reason to get out of this shitty marriage."

Namjoon turned to her, putting on his coat.

"Believe me, I wish I haven't married you either."
