Hi, I have edited and changed the previous chapter so, if you haven't read it, please go back and read. The only major change is that Peter has a twin.

Get used to this weird ass POV.

We were singing along to the song as we made dinner for our guests. I flipped the spatula and held it like a microphone as we twirled around the kitchen singing,

"Ever since I could remember
Everything inside of me
Just wanted to fit in (oh, oh, oh, oh)

We wanted to be normal for so long, ever since we could remember. We never wanted our difficult lives.

I was never one for pretenders
Everything I tried to be
Just wouldn't settle in (oh, oh, oh, oh)

We couldn't live a fake life. Not after what we had been through. We were trained assassins, not normal people. We had accepted that.

If I told you what I was
Would you turn your back on me?
And if I seem dangerous
Would you be scared?

We're scared, scared of rejection. If we tell others, they would turn their backs on us. We know we are dangerous. Would you reject us for being so? Would you be too scared of us?

I get the feeling just because
Everything I touch isn't dark enough
If this problem lies in me.
I'm only a man with a candle to guide me
I'm taking a stand to escape what's inside me

We know we are dark; tainted. We know we were meant to be weapons. We refuse. We'll forge our own path. We're taking a stand to escape Hydra's monster.

A monster, a monster
I've turned into a monster
A monster, a monster,
And it keeps getting stronger.

We're monsters. We've killed, tortured...worse. We know we're abominations.

A Monster.

By this point, it had turned into a full on performance. Somehow, we had managed to keep all the food from falling. Dinner was served.

I sent out my senses to feel the presence of my brother, a comforting feeling after singing such a song that resonated with us. I stiffened marginally, there were three more people in the room, and they were not our parents.

It seemed that Peter had come to the same realisation as he sent a slightly strained smile at me.  We casually strolled to the counter and grabbed knifes, pretending to bring out the cutting board.

"Who are you?" Peter called out, as we turned to face the intruders, knives in our hands, "There were only supposed to be two guests."

There was a dark-skinned man with an eyepatch - Nicholas Fury, a man who had a bow - Clinton Barton, and a blond haired woman who seemed familiar... Agent Romanoff.

"We are associates of your parents. I'm Director Fury, he's Agent Barton and she is Agent Romanoff. Where are they?"

I narrowed my eyes but called Mary and Richard down. They smiled at us, "You can go upstairs now. We have to discuss something confidential." Dad added, "Try not to eavesdrop."

"We won't." We said in unison. Peter turned to look at the agents, "It was nice meeting you. It's Peter and Penelope by the way." We ran up the stairs, hardly making a sound.

We leaned over the table, analyzing Fury. "Whatever we say in this meeting is off the books. You don't tell anyone this. Nobody."

Fury leaned back in his chair and pushed a button. "There. Now tell me what was so important you had to interrupt my lunch. I won't tell anyone what you choose to share. Unless it's a matter of national security." He seemed sincere.
