HIGH SCHOOL is four years of unnecessary stress, studies and pointless education cramed into a teenagers brain.
The toxic environment became all too much for some kids driving them towards depression futures like suicide, becoming car salesmen or even a teacher.
The brain needs as much rest as possible and the long hours and little sleep most teenagers got was simply unhealthy to say the least.
Some spent the day walking the halls like brainless zombies in hordes, and others simply just didn't want to try and pull through.
Allegra Swan exited biology feeling like one of those zombies, the only thing giving her a little extra joy for the day was remembering that there was a cafeteria full of food ready for her consumption.
She held a tray tightly in her grasp before lowering herself awkwardly beside Bella at her usual table, where Mike, Angela, Jessica and Eric were discussing their impending graduation.
"My fellow students. Cool. Right? Wow. Okey, right? -- Cute. We are the future. Anything is possible... ... If you just believe."
Angela scoffed but Mike continued, "blah, blah, blah... perfect. And you got yourself a speech." He ripped the paper from his notebook and slid it over to Jessica.
The Jessica who despite all odds, received valedictorian.
"No, this will be my speech. When I want everyone to throw diplomas at my head. So... Thank you." She crumples the paper and throws it at him.
"You gotta embrace the cliches, Jess."
"They are the bread and butter of all valedictorians." Eric adds pointing his fork in her direction.
His girlfriend scowls, "and that is why you are not valedictorian. And Jess doesn't need cliches. Speech is gonna be epic."
"Epic. It'll change lives."
Allegra shrunk down in her seat feeling slightly uncomfortable amongst the rowdy seniors.
Someone pulls a chair up beside Allegra sitting down, "I decided to throw a party." Alice declares.
"After all, how many times are we going to graduate?" Jasper responds and a chuckle part's Edward's lips, Allegra furrows her brows in confusion.
