Alcina and her girls dashed to the front door, where the Duke's cart was stationed. Because it wasn't as cold as the previous days, the three girls were allowed to walk outside.

"Lady Dimitrescu," the Duke greeted her with a bent head. "Clementine is inside."

When Bela and Daniela opened the door, they were shocked to see Clementine's body. Her skin was as white as snow, she appeared lifeless, and her breathing was labored.

"Clementine!" Daniela's voice trembled, and she was on the edge of crying.

Cassandra shifted her gaze to Ingrid and tightened her grip on her neck.

"What did you do?" She hissed at her.

Cassandra's firm grip on Ingrid's neck prevented her from saying anything, and all she managed was a murmur.

"Place her down, Cassandra, and let her tell what happened." Alcina gave the order.

Cassandra walked away from Ingrid after removing her hands from her neck and giving her an icy glare.

"Could you tell me what happened?" Alcina inquired, attempting to relax.

Alcina was frightened, worried, and afraid right now. She has no idea why she is feeling this way, and it is all strange to her.

Before speaking, Ingrid coughed and grabbed her neck. "A lycan shooting arrows hit us at the altar where we met the Duke, Clementine shoved me so I wouldn't get hit, but the arrow scratched her."

"Why did you even brought her there?" Bela screamed at her

She trembles as she says, "She told me she wanted to come, so I let her."

"Mother! Her mouth is bubbling!" Daniela screamed, her voice tinged with fear.

Alcina walked around and walked towards the cart. Clementine's mouth was foaming and she appeared to be dead, and Daniela was crying as she held Alcina's dress.

"What are we going to do, Mother?" Daniela asked in between her sobs.

Alcina immediately remembered something and bit her lower lip.

"Take her to her room and wait for me there," she said as she walks towards the door.

Bela inquired, "Where are you going, mother?"

"Do what I say and wait for me there," she remarked this as she began walking quickly.

Alcina entered her study and walked over to a bookshelf that rested against the wall. She yanked out four books, and the bookcases slid to the sides, revealing a door. She walked into the room after opening the door. The room was her hidden lair, filled with various medications from all around the world that could treat anything you needed. She walked over to a glass cabinet and took a small vial containing purple liquid, as well as a small syringe, before exiting the room. She dashed into Clementine's room, where she discovered the girls gathered around her body on the bed.

"How is she?" Alcina asked as she approaches the three.

"She's having a hard time breathing." Bela answered.

Daniela was bawling her eyes out while grasping Clementine's hand. Cassandra was holding Bela's hand and staring at her practically lifeless body.

"She's going to be okay right?" Cassandra asked, whispering.

Alcina gave her a sigh and glanced at her. She inserted the syringe into the vial and injected purple liquid into the syringe. She bent down and gently grabbed Clementine's arm, intending to inject the liquid into her. Daniela wiped her tears and looked to her mother.
