One year later.
Clementine stared at the family photos on the wall that was placed in the living room. Different pictures were hanging on the walls, such as her and Cassandra's first time hugging and many more. She massaged her chin as she examined the most recent photo they had, which was of her and Bela standing on the stage with models beside them, taken last month when they were invited to New York Fashion Week. She then looked at the picture next to it, which was of Cassandra smiling broadly, on the background of the photo was a music school that she was attending in Switzerland; she had been gone for almost ten months and they were all missing her terribly; she had been offered a scholarship in that particular school and Alcina and her had to persuade her because she wanted to decline the offer since was going to a different country, but eventually she decided to go because of her passion for music. She then moved her gaze to the photograph next to it, which depicted Daniela holding her now-published book in her hands, alongside her and Alcina, and, of course, Bela and Cassandra. Her vision darkened abruptly as she felt two hands covering her eyes.
"Who is this? She inquired, causing the person behind her to giggle.
She waited a minute, expecting that the person who was covering her eyes would respond, but she got no response.
"Okay then, let me take a guess. Is this Bela?" There is still no response. "This isn't Daniela since she's in New York with Irish," she said, her hand brushing over the hands above her eyes. "This is not Alcina, Donna, or even Mallary. I don't seem to feel any rings on the fingers," she sighed. "Mom, is that you?"
A groan came from the person who was covering her eyes. In fact, it's a pretty familiar groan.
"Cassandra?!" She stated it out loud.
The person who had been concealing her eyes had taken their hands away. When she turned around, her eyes widened in surprise, realizing that it was really Cassandra. She didn't waste any time and hugged her before putting kisses on both of her cheeks and the top of her head.
Cassandra chuckled. "Hi, Mom, I missed you too."
"What are you doing here? You weren't kicked out from school or deported aren't you?" She quipped.
"What? No way, mom! Why on Earth would I do something that'll make me undergo through that?" She rolled her eyes. "I'm just here for two weeks, we have a family holiday in school and we're required to spend time with our families."
"That's great! But why didn't you inform me earlier that you're coming today? I should have picked you up at the airport!" She frowned.
"Surprise!" Cassandra hugged her and laughed.
"I'm very surprised, but who picked you up? It's not Karl since he's in a vacation with Irene."
"I did!" Mallary murmured as she walked into the living room with a suitcase in her hand.
"I asked her to do so," Alcina remarked as she descended the stairwell, followed by Bela and Donna.
"You knew she was coming today and didn't tell me?" She sneered.
Cassandra pouted, "Don't get mad at them mom, I asked them to keep it a secret from you."
Donna sat down on the couch as soon as they all down the stairs. She rubbed her bulging stomach, she was four months pregnant.
"It's exhausting going up and down the stairs," Donna grumbled. "Anyway, Cassandra, welcome back. Will you give me a hug?"
Cassandra dashed over to Donna and hugged her before massaging her stomach.
