Clementine was full of sorrow as she watched Irish double-check her belongings one last time. She was supposed to leave today, Monday, after their engagement celebration last Saturday. She was leaning against the doorway, watching the orange-haired woman who had been with them for months and was now ready to return home.
As she rose off the ground, Irish smiled. "Well, that's everything. Everything I brought with me when I came here is here," she chuckled.
"I can't believe it, you're actually leaving us today."
She gave a kind smile. "I miss my house, I suppose it's full of cobwebs now that I've been gone for so long."
"I'll miss you a lot. It wouldn't be the same here if you weren't here," she let out a sigh.
"I heard you're going to the airport with us?"
"Yes, I'll be leaving the village for the first time. I had no idea we were cut off from the rest of the world."
"Neither did I," she drew her suitcase. "I can't keep Karl waiting much longer."
She took one of Irish's suitcases and went downstairs with him to the foyer, where everyone in the manor, except Miranda, was waiting.
"Where's Mom?" As they descended, she inquired.
"She's in the lab," Irish stated. "Don't worry, she already said goodbye to me this morning."
Emma hugged Irish and whispered, "I'm going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too, keep your grades soaring, okay?" She made a remark.
"I guarantee you, one day I'll be a scientist like you."
Irish nodded and turned to face Freya, who was sniffling while carrying Eva.
"Hey, don't cry," Irish laughed. "You know that you can text me anytime if you want to."
"I'm not crying; I'm suffering from allergies." Freya expressed her thoughts.
"Sure you do," Irish smirked as he looked at Eva, who appeared to be miserable as well. "Hi, little Eva, I'm finally leaving, and this time it's for real. I'm confident you'll grow up just like your older sister, Eve. Please be good, okay? Stop throwing tantrums at Freya and giving your Mother headaches, okay?"
Freya tried to smother Eva's sobs. She was fully aware of the situation that was taking place.
Irish offered her a sorrowful grin and kissed her forehead. "It's my time to leave, I'll miss you."
Clementine could feel her eyes welling up with tears, but she restrained herself by looking at Karl beside her, who was struggling to fight back his tears as well. Irish approached the two of them, her sorrowful eyes shining through despite her best efforts to grin.
"Let's get moving," she said, "I don't want to miss my flight."
Irish gave a final wave to Emma, Freya, and Eva before exiting the manor.

The trip to the airport was quiet, awfully quiet. Clementine and Irish were both in the backseat while Karl was driving, he was glancing at the rearview mirror to see the two at the back and then he'll look back at the road again.
"We're almost at the airport," Karl said.
Irish nodded. "We're thirty minutes early."
Irish had an enigmatic expression on her face as Clementine looked across at her. They were already in front of the airport when the car came to a halt. Karl got out of the car and opened the back door, allowing them to exit. While Karl loaded the baggage into the trunk, she followed Irish outside.
