"Okay." His uncle sighed out as he smacked his hands agaisnt the table, getting Hades to glance up at him in confusion. "At least tell me she's just playing hard to get."

"It took you the entire day to figure that out?" Hades sighed as he folded his arms to his chest while sitting across from him, sitting on the waiting couches since he had finished his work a while back and decided to watch his uncle work.

As though that sounded normal in the least.

"It didn't take me that long." He shrugged his shoulders and flashed Hades a grin to which he eventually rolled his eyes to.

"It's freaking, 8:45pm, Gary." He sighed out as he run his hand through his hair.

"Aren't you going to escort her home?"  Gary asked as he raised his greying brows at him, watching his nephew frown slightly before meeting his eyes.

"She probably left a while back." He shrugs his shoulders and leans back into the couch. "I'll just find my jacket hanging by the door or on the floor when I go pick it up after."

"That means you're the problem then." Gary chuckled as he glanced down to his work, getting Hades to glare at him.

"I've tried all I can. I'm still trying but she hates me. I made her and her sister's life a living hell in highschool and she won't brush past it. No matter how hard I try she still sees me as the kid version of me." Hades sighed out heavily as he glanced up at the ceiling instead.

"Well, I had warned you back then but you nearly peeled my eyes out for yelling at you." Gary laughed out as he smacked the desk. "Had it not been for your father and your intelligence, I wouldn't have wanted you here."

"Thanks for revealing to me." Hades rolled his eyes and glances from the ceiling to his uncle. "If I could go back in time, I could tell the smaller version of myself to bully anyone but the twins. Maybe then Lilith would actually like me now."

"The smaller version of you would end up beating you up and torturing the girl even more." Gary laughed out again and Hades clenched his jaw in anger.

"That's not helping." Hades hissed out as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I just said that to vent out."

"Well I'm correcting your venting." He chuckled out before pausing as his eyes caught a familiar figure at the door. He turned his gaze towards it only to stare into Lilith's eyes.

She smiled softly at him as she waved slightly.

"Oh, Lilith, come in!" Gary yelled out enough for Hades to hear. Hades instantly sat up and shot his gaze to the door as his heart thud agaisnt his ribs. "What brings you by?"

"I was actually looking for Hades." She nodded her head slowly as she glanced to her side after noticing him. "He wasn't in his office, that's why I came here."

"Oh." Gary smiled deviously towards Hades who rolled his eyes at him and stood up, slowly walking  towards her.

"You needed something?" Hades asked as he stared down into her drawing eyes, getting his heart to jump into his throat when she stared at him for a moment longer before shaking her head in denial.

"I just wanted to return your jacket." She said as she hands the jacket she had been holding back to him. "Thanks, by the way. For the coffee and the jacket too. But you don't need to do that anymore."

"I was just being nice-."

"I know where this is going, and I don't want it to get any bigger than it already is." She shrugged her shoulders and glanced at her boss who stared at them with interest. "I'm sorry for disturbing, Sir, have a goodnight." She bowed slightly as Hades clenched his jacket with a deep frown as he watched her turn to leave.

"Oh yes, Ms Lamar." Gary raised his hand to stop her and she eventually turned back to him. "I've given Hades a task assignment that you two need to go through before morning. I'm closing up the office so you two will make arrangements of where the task will be done. I need it handed in first thing in the morning." He smiled out before waving them off, getting Hades to sigh out, knowing too well what his uncle was trying to do.

"What task?" Lilith asked the moment they both stepped out of the office and closed the door behind them. "Does it really have to do with a lower rank like me?"

"How should I know...." He shrugged his shoulders as he grabbed his car keys on the way to the elevator with her trailing behind.

"I'm pretty hungry." Lilith pointed out as they both stepped into the elevator. "So we can discuss it while eating out before getting home."

Oh so that's what Gary was aiming at.... Hades raised his brows in thought as he stared down at Lilith who was barely looking at him.

"Sure." Hades nodded as he couldn't resist a small smile on his face. Unable to process the fact that Lilith just offered him up to dinner. He thought she would rather talk it out in a cafe or a library, somewhere she would try to make him avoid talking to her.

But she was hungry.

She had no choice.
