Hades stared up at the mirror for the hundredth time, trying to fix his hair as the sky around him only became darker by the minute. He was waiting for Lilith who was getting ready for the party.
After they watched the movie together, they just had lunch from the meals she bought for him, because even he wouldn't be able to finish it all by himself, and Lilith just didn't seem to feel like leaving. So he tried his best to make her eat as slow as possible, bringing up random jokes that she clearly didn't laugh to but still listened to him nonetheless.
But despite his efforts, she still left him right after the meal and he decided to drive her home himself, since she didn't come by any car.
Because she didn't have one.
He asked her why she wanted to leave despite knowing too well she wouldn't spend countless hours with him even if she had nothing to do. She had told him she needed to do something strictly important and private before the party the next day.
It wasn't her acting lessons or the man she was hanging out with apart from him, it was something she didn't wish to tell him. Something bad enough to make her want to drink for tonight.
And it was something he wanted to find out.
He leaned from the mirror the moment he heard her front door click open, sighing out shakily as he ran his finger along his shirt, pressing away the wrinkles made from it. He reached up to the buttons of his sleeveless shirt and loosened up a few, making sure his hard worked for tight stomach was visible to her, but just not in a way it was too obvious.
The only reason he changed his outfit was for her. Otherwise he would have just gotten up and left for the party if she said no.
His eyes widened as he watched her lock her door before turning, marveling how beautiful she looked. She was wearing a mid-thigh short leopard print dress with white sneakers, her hair hang loosely on her shoulders but away from her face, tucked behind her ears with small white earrings to stand out.
She opened the door as she shoved the hair off her shoulders before sitting down and sighing deeply before closing the door.
"Is something wrong?" She asked as she glanced at him with raised brows, only to have him smile slightly. "What?"
"You just look really beautiful." He chuckled, slowly biting on his lip. "Were you dressing for me?"
"Let's go." She sighed out as she turned her gaze towards the road instead, getting him to chuckle out lowly before turning the keys, starting the car instantly.
"You really do look beautiful though." He said once more as he stepped on the peddle, driving into the road.
"Thanks." She said in a mummer as she turned her gaze out of the window while clenching her fingers and pressing her lips tightly.
"So, what was this thing you had to take care of?" He asked as he turned at a corner, driving out of the neighborhood. "Why do you seem so stressed about it?" He asked and glanced at her for a moment before turning his gaze back at the road. "Is it that bad?"
"No." She shook her head without sparing him a glance. "It's not why I'm drinking tonight. I just want to."
"Okay." He nodded and licked his lips slightly as he finally turns into the main road, letting him drive on a slightly empty road. "But if you need to talk... You can talk to me. I'm not good with giving advice, but I'm good at listening." He shrugged his shoulders, slowly bringing the car to a red light. "I know I'm annoying to you, that's only because I really like you that much. Obviously you know I do, there's no reason not to tell you right now, right?" He chuckled and she moved in her seat, glancing down at her fingers as he spoke. "So, tell me, I can help."
"It's a green light." She said as she pointed up at the robot. "There's a car behind. You have to go."
He frowned as he stared at her unwillingness to tell him anything. Though it's not as though he expects her to. She didn't think of him as a friend either. Just extra weight.
Or so he thought.
He turned back to his wheel and pressed onto the peddle, driving back into the road as he leaned back into his seat.
"Sometimes... You make it hard to like you." He sighed out as he ran a hand through his hair and glanced at her for a moment, only to notice her staring out of the window.
The rest of the way was silent, since Lilith wasn't willing to talk and Hades just didn't want to ask anything else. Knowing too well she would brush him off.
He finally made it to the party and parked just outside, since countless cars parked all over the entrance. He turned the key and placed it into his pocket, shoving it deep within so he wouldn't lose it. He then sighed as Lilith glanced out of the window and up at the house with lights of countless colour beaming all over and the loud bashing music came from within and filled her ears.
"Um..." He cleared his throat as he turned to glance at her, getting her attention as she glanced back at him. "I know you came here just for fun and all. I don't have to restrict you or anything but... Don't kiss anyone, or let them touch you in any intimate way."
"But that's not your-."
"I don't care." He shrugged his shoulders as he furrowed his brows at her. "If you want to kiss someone, kiss me. If you get drunk and feel like doing something unspeakable with some random guy, let me be the random guy. Even if you say no now, if I see that happen, I'll cause a scene and you won't like it. I promise. If I'm annoying now then I'll annoy you even worse when it happens with someone else." He clarified, stating out with clearance so she should listen and not just hear.
"I don't care." She shrugged her shoulders. "I didn't come here to be stalked by you. You can kiss anyone you like, that's not my business, but you seriously can't expect me to listen to you, right?"
"I said I'll cause a scene. I'm not changing that." He said and unbuckled his seat belt. "Kiss all the guys you want. But I'll make sure they regret doing it." He hissed before opening his door and stepping out. Getting Lilith to sigh out shakily as she opened hers as well.
