"So, what's the task about?" Lilith sighed as she closed the menu once they were done ordering their food. "Is it about the new recruits?"

"Um..." Hades cleared his throat as he leaned back to his seat and glanced around himself, watching a few couples here and there and some business meetings here and there.

It wasn't too fancy but enough to keep away from noisy children and loud music since Lilith assumed it was for business.

Little did she know.

"Well... Yes." Hades nods just so Lilith wouldn't get up the moment he says his Uncle lied. "It's about them. He was asking if you could pick ten from them, who would they be and the reasons why." Hades cleverly said as he nodded to his own words.

Lilith pouts her lips for a moment, stuck in thought as she glances up at the ceiling, thinking carefully who it could be.

"There are in fact a few I know are the best. There's Jane Millet, Frank Woods, Christen Parker, Gwen Holland, Vincent Jacobs, Lorain Lamber, Troy Williams, Dexter Harbor and Trevis Millard." She smiles at how well she memorized the names since she was so impressed with their application forms and they were all approved with no gaping holes in them. They were all transparent and honest. "But I should warn you though, even though Gwen Holland has a masters in Business studies, she's a heavy drinker. But, I still recommend her because she's influenced me through a piece of paper, imagine what she could do with a client willing to by our product, I mean, she could obviously be promoted on her first day."

Hades nodded as he watched how intrigued she was speaking about a stranger she hadn't even met before. Even though it wasn't a topic he would actually want to talk about, at least she wasn't casting him silent cold glares and cutting him short.

"She sounds interesting." He nodded as the waitress brought their order and placed it in front of them.

"Anything else you might possibly need?" The waitress asks as she steps aside and bows a little.

"No thanks, we're good." Hades smiled and waved her off, getting her to smile back and walk away, completely fazed by the handsome young man her age actually smiling.

Though, Hades only had eyes for Lilith.

Lilith didn't say anything more as she began to eat her food, so did he.

They ate quietly as they took small bites of their servings, trying not to seem too out of place since this was an expensive restaurant. Though, Hades could not resist the urge to glance up at her from under his lashes as he ate, watching how her brown hair swayed from her back to her slender neck and highlighted collarbones.

He trailed his eyes up to her eyes, watching how her black lashes curtained her feline eyes from him and kissing gently onto her slightly pink skin. He moved further down to her slim nose and down to her plumpy red lips that seemed more glossier than he last saw them.

He cleared his throat as the mere thought of him feeling his lips agaisnt hers slipped into his mind. But that didn't stop him from continuing his journey.

He trailed his eyes down to her slightly defined jawline and down to her neck, imagining himself stroking her slightly tanned skin with his lips. He didn't stay long on there, he trailed down to her slightly exposed chest, and he could only imagine his palm glued to one while he teases the other with his ton-

"Are you okay?" Lilith asked as she noticed Hades had trailed off and was in his own world. He instantly snaps and shakes his head a little before smiling.

"I'm alright." He nodded before continuing his meal.

Lilith trailed to where his eyes were before only to feel irritation as she knew exactly what his eyes were aimed entirely at.

But, she didn't bring it up.

She simply continued to eat her food.

Once they were done, Lilith reached into her bag strapped on the seat behind her and pulled out her purse as the waitress came back.

"How much is it?" Lilith asked and before the waiter could answer, Hades immediately fished his wallet from his pockets and pulled out the credit card.

"Use this." Hades instructed the waiter who nodded and took the card from him. She left for a moment before coming back shortly after with the card

"I hope you enjoyed your meal, we hope you visit soon." The waitress bowed and smiled at Hades who smiled back at her before leaving.

Lilith glanced towards the waitress who seemed to be overjoyed to the fact that Hades had smiled at her. Though she couldn't argue about it. Hades loved women.

Or so she thought.

"Is that all?" She asked as she folded her arms to her chest and leaned back into the seat. "The task, I mean."

"Well..." He cleared his throat and glanced around himself once more. "He also asked about...." Just then, her phone began to buzz on the table beside her, getting her to glance down at it instead.

Hades trailed his eyes down to the screen only to notice it was the face of the same guy he met the other day Ethan, grinning widely at the screen with his name across the screen.

He clenched onto his jaw and fists as he felt agitated from the thought of him alone.

Ethan was his competition and he knew it.

Lilith, however, didn't seem to want to answer it that moment, she simply trails her eyes back to Hades who raised his brows at her, taken aback.

'oh hey, Lilith, I hope you call me back soon after you get this message, I went over to your house and you're not there. I hate to admit but I miss you-' and the recording ends just as it was about to continue.

Hades clenched onto his jaw as he glanced down at the phone still on the table, wishing he could grab it and delete any of his existence.

"Oh, are you two... Dating?" Hades asked with a throbbing throat as he tried to hold back his anger.

"No." Lilith said as she sighed out in boredom. "And it's none of your business. We're here for the task." She explained and he frowned at her.

"He just needed the names, I'll tell you if he needs more details." Hades said as he got up from his seat and grabbed his jacket from it. "Want me to give you a ride home?"

"I have somewhere I need to be." She said as she stood up as well. "No need, but thanks for the offer."

"Sure..." He nodded and sighed out as he walked towards the doors, wanting to ask if by 'somewhere' she meant Ethan. But he couldn't. Lilith would eventually brush him off.
