C17: A DRINK OR TWO

August led the way to a small wine room inside just through a door of the same room. Hades stepped in after and his eyes widened at the countless bottles stacked in the wine room shelves.

It was almost like an indoor bar.

"Morris told me you weren't in any relationship." August said as he grabbed countless bottles and placed them on a small counter. "What does Lilith like? Sweet stuff?" He asked and Hades nodded slowly. Not that he wasn't sure, he knew too well Lilith hated bitter alcohol and preferred sweet wine over any drink.

"Well...." He trailed off as he glanced around and reached his hand to the back of his neck, then cleared his throat uncomfortably. "I don't want to upset you but I'm not in the slightest gay. So I really don't think this would-"

"Why did you assume I was gay?" He asked in annoyance as he stared at Hades with furrowed brows. "The portraits? I'm a photographer, what would you expect me to have hanging on my walls?" He rolled his eyes and poured some drinks into the wine glasses. "Are you a sweet or bitter person?" He asked as he glanced up at Hades who furrowed his brows.

"Any is fine. I prefer mine stronger." He said as he watched him pour the contents. "Morris said you were. And that you wanted to see me."

"Morris always brings that up." August groaned out in annoyance as he pinched his forehead while placing the bottle down. "And yes, I wanted to see you because of you and Lilith." He said as he glanced at Hades and continued to pour the wine.

"Why... Her?" Hades asked as he clenched his fists from the irritation roaming his veins.

"Morris told me you would be bringing her and showed me a photo and I need a model." He said, getting Hades to sigh out in relief. "You would also be a good model too."

"Nude models?" He asked with a chuckle and August nodded with a smirk.

"Don't worry, your faces are never really visible." August shrugged and Hades chuckled out, relieved that he wasn't after his woman.

"No thanks." Hades shook his head as he leaned back agaisnt the wall. "I don't want anyone seeing her body."

"She's not even your girlfriend." August chuckled as he grabbed the glasses and walked to him. "Plus, think about it. It's your chance to even see her naked." August winked and Hades glanced towards the ground in thought.

August was right.

But she wouldn't agree.

"It's a nice thought but she wouldn't agree to it." He shrugged his shoulders and August frowned. "Believe me. Lilith will say no."

"Convince her then." He said and Hades laughed out.

"I can hardly convince her with anything." He sighed out, running a hand through his hair. "She doesn't like me. She won't do what I tell her."

"When she does, call me." August winked before walking out of the door, letting Hades carry Lilith's glass instead.

Hades stepped back into the room and spotted Lilith still where he left her. He took a small breath and walked to her, handing her the glass.

"I hope it's not too strong." Lilith said in a mummer as she brought the glass to her lips and took a sip, only to gasp internally at the sweet taste. Unable to tell what it was. "How did you know?"

"I just know." He nodded and sat beside her.

"Did he try to kiss you?" She asked as she took another sip.

"He's not gay." He chuckled as he leaned back to the couch. "He's just wierd."

"Oh. Okay." She nodded and glanced down at her drink, then took a large sip, drinking it down half way. "Could you get me another?"

"Take it a bit easy, though." Hades chuckled as he glanced at her worriedly, only to have her chug down the remaining contents. "Hey-."

"Go get more." She said as she sighed out from the burning sensation of the shot he threw in.

"You know, it's not all wine, he added a few strong alcohol inside." He said as he watched her sigh out and lean back.

"I know." Lilith said with a frown. "I came here to drink, that's what I'll do." She nodded and he sighed out before standing up and heading back into the room, mixing what he remembered he mixed before stepping back out.

"Here." He said as he sat back down and she took a sip.

"This is different." She said and glanced at him. "But it's better."

"Thanks." Hades smiled sheepishly as he glanced down at his drink. "Are you still really not going to tell me what's bothering you?"

"No." She said as she shook her head. "Nothing's bothering me."

"Okay." He nodded and leaned back, knowing at least she won't be plastering bodies with some man. He took a sip from his glass as Lilith took another gulp before sighing out as the alcohol slowly began to get into her head, feeling her eyes sway slightly as her head got lighter by the minute.

"I want to dance." She said as she stood up, though seeming completely fine without her body swaying around. "I'm going to the party."

"Now?" Hades asked as he stood up as well, then glanced down at her in curiosity. "This is a nice place to drink."

"I can't stand the smoke, plus I just want to dance. There's nothing wrong with that." She sighed as she chugged down her remaining contents before placing it on a stool beside the couch, making Hades worry a bit with how much she was drinking in such a short time.

"Do you want more or..." He asked as she leaned from the stool she was placing the glass on.

"No." She shook her head. "Not now at least." She nodded and made her way towards the door, with him trailing behind her, not wanting to leave her sight. "You don't have to follow me."

"I also want to dance." He lied as he shrugged his shoulders, getting her to sigh out lowly.
