TP POV:

Taehyung's breath got stuck in his throat. "What do you mean by that?" His voice came more breathless than he would've liked. The sad smile that painted across Jeongguk's lips tugged at a bitter part of Taehyung's heart.

"I wasn't always the ruler of the underworld Taehyung. There was a time when I too was walking around the olympian gardens. I was the prankster, always laughing and having fun" the raven reminisced with a fond smile that soon became bitter once more.

"When Zeus first became king, he was a just ruler. But after a few years, the power made him greedy and possessive. He was willing to hurt anyone to remain on his precious throne. He wanted to hurt Athena because he was born part titan. And I just asked if he would still choose the throne even if he had to destroy Olympus. And as a result, I was exiled and thrown into this hellhole. Locked and imprisoned for millenniums" Jeongguk clenched his jaw so tightly that the veins of his neck became visible.

Taehyung gasped once he heard what Jeongguk's brother had done. He couldn't imagine the betrayal the raven must've felt. But Hades wasn't done yet.

"He binded me to this realm and banned anyone from visiting me. I was alone in this place. At first, the screams and the darkness was too overwhelming. I created this room to escape my new reality and shut myself away for years. I even cried at some point I think. It all has become such a distant memory that I had forgotten I too once could cry. But sooner or later I got used to the loneliness and the darkness. The Hades who was livelier than any other Olympian god slowly withered away" the broken soul behind those pitch black eyes ached Taehyung's heart.

The silver-head did not realize when he had started shedding tears or when he got closer to the latter. By the time he became aware of his surroundings he was already embracing the raven tightly and sobbing.

Taehyung could feel the gentle hands patting his head, trying their best to comfort when they were the ones that needed the most comforting. "Don't cry little omega. It was a very long time ago. I am okay now" Jeongguk whispered so delicately as if Taehyung would crumble to pieces if he spoke any louder. The demigod just shook his head against the god's firm chest like a defiant child.

"It must've been so hard for you. I wish I'd met you sooner. Poor Ggukie" Taehyung hiccuped after every sentence. Cheeks flushing red from crying too hard. It broke the prince's heart just imagining a lonely Jeongguk curled up in bed crying. "Hey, it's okay now. Don't cry sweetheart. What happened to the "oh so scary general Kim" huh? I didn't know the tough warrior omega could cry this much" Jeongguk teased.

A chuckle left the raven's lips as he felt Taehyung playfully slap his chest. "Don't tease me! My emotions are all over the place right now" the omega grumbled and finally calmed down. "You should rest Taehyung. You need sleep" Jeongguk slowly led the other to his bed and tucked him in against the latter's protests.

Taehyung wasn't ever overpowered before. So it surprised him when Jeongguk just effortlessly pushed him down onto the bed and tucked him in. The raven was clearly more powerful than he let on. "sleep" Jeongguk sternly ordered as he kept Taehyung down with one hand. And the silver-head couldn't do anything but huff annoyed.

"Fine" the prince grumbled before actually falling asleep. The silence aiding him to fall into Hypnos' world. Jeongguk stood over Taehyung's small frame a moment longer as he watched the other sleep peacefully. Taehyung belonged in this room full of brightness and colours. Jeongguk however, did not. Not anymore. Thus he silently walked out of the room and closed the door before stalking away into his dark, gloomy world.

The next morning, or so Taehyung thought to be morning, since the underworld was always dark, the brunette felt a mixture of different feelings. He was refreshed after a proper sleep, sure. But he also felt embarrassed for what he had done prior to his slumber. However, what stood atop the flurry of others, was the feeling of sorrow.
