TP POV:

Numbness is a very helpless feeling. Or maybe it's the lack there of that births such helplessness.

Taehyung has been numb since he's come to the underworld. Sure, it is a new world full of new wonders, a testament to all that he has devotedly believed in. However, this new world, new people, reconnecting roots, have come at the cost of everything that he has known and loved.

He has had to leave behind his father, siblings, friends, duties, his country, his world! and stay at a place not even his worst nightmares could fathom.

Underworld was a dark dark place with vicious beasts and waking horror. All his life Taehyung has lived as a human, he has been accustomed to human things. But now, he's been told his reality, even his own origin was but a lie.

The prince found his mother whom he thought was dead. He was taken to the realm of gods when he himself had the capacity to only imagine human things.

These thoughts kept him up at night. Or what he perceived night to be in this sunless realm. The anxiety of what is to come rampaged inside his head as the darkness slowly but surely engulfed him. He could feel his heart beat a little slower. The dull ache of uncertainty retraining his chest. Numbness sat at the bottom of his stomach and a forced smile etched it's way onto his lips as days passed by.

He had tried to remain the same to others. He may have even succeeded. But he himself knew what trickery he committed. But alas, not being able to deceive himself amidst his helplessness.

But this dull heart did beat. Every time he saw his mother's smile. Every time he saw a raven haired god with eyes blacker than the sky could ever be.

He found his dull heart beating once more as he swung a sword against the death general. Every breath he took every muscle he moved served to pump blood into his veins. He felt alive again.

Even as the swords seized to clash the silver-head breathed in life. The crowd around him and his sparring partner beside him had this exhilarating effect on his soul. He laughed from the heart after a long time.

And then the organ in his chest pumped a little faster. His insides grew hotter as he locked eyes with Hades. Those black eyes held so many dark promises it made the omega shiver. He saw him smile, specks of emerald dancing in those orbs like stars in the night sky. He watched him say something to his mother. She too smiling at him. They both waved at him and he too returned the gesture.

Then Jeongguk turned his back and walked away. Taehyung didn't miss that expression of sadness on his face. Even if it was a mere  glimpse. His mother followed after him. And Taehyung was left there wondering what had happened. But his attention was redirected back to the crowd that still surrounded him.

Maybe he would ask later.

"Jeongguk, why are you being like this?" Demeter asked her brother, watching as the raven haired god sat on his bed with his face shoved into his palms. Hades remained silent. Not wanting to answer the question that hung around the room.

Getting no reply Demeter sighed and sat down beside her brother, trying to pry away Jeongguk's hands. "Why is it so hard for you to admit your feelings?" She asked again after her unsuccessful attempt. Jeongguk breathed in loudly as his palms came down to cup his mouth and chin.

"You've heard what Apollo's prophecy said and what the Moirai had to say about it. If underworld finds a queen, I will lose my powers" the raven whispered more to himself than his sister. Hani scoffed in disbelief. "You can't be serious" she squinted her eyes at him in offence almost.

Jeongguk gave a wispy laughter as he continued, "why shouldn't I be? After I was cast out of Olympus, netherworld has been all that I know. The ruler of the underworld is now who I am, what I embody. It's all the shattered pieces of myself that I've collected back together after millenniums. You are expecting me to give up all of that and break apart once more for a person I've known for few mere months? For what? Puppy love?" Asked the raven instead as he looked at Demeter right in the face with blazing emerald eyes. "Take Taehyung back with you. I cannot do this." He spoke again after receiving no reply.

Hani took in a shaky breath, she knew that Jeongguk had every right to hesitate. "I know Jeongguk, that I'm asking too much of you. I know that. But you have to understand that I just want the best for both of you. Taehyung has nowhere else to go. Underworld is the only place where he can be safe. How am I supposed to take him to Olympus after doing so much just to keep him alive?" She stared at the raven with desperate eyes.

"Noona, feed him Ambrosia and nectar. Make him immortal. And take him back to Olympus with you. Please" Jeongguk's voice shook at his plead, eyes welling up slightly. "I can't. Zeus will know before I can even deliver it to him" Demeter weeped, her heart breaking from misery.

Hades took in a deep breath. Looking away from his crying sister unable to stand the heartbreaking sight any longer. He opened his mouth to speak but words never came out. His eyes glazed over before a frown etched onto his face.

Demeter sensing the dark aura thicken around Hades understood that something wasn't right. "what's wrong?" She asked as she sniffled. "The Moirai are here" Jeongguk almost growled as he teleported himself to the main hall of his palace.

He stood with Demeter by his side as they watched how the three sisters of fate emerged from thick black smoke. "Why hello Hades and Demeter" their shrill voice prickling their ears. "why are you here?" Hades asked instead, displeased by the unannounced guests.

"We have come to see our queen of course" they laughed meanly. Jeongguk's jaw cleanched tight, so much so that the veins of his neck popped up. He could feel Hani squeeze his shoulder to assure him but it did little to the dilemma brewing inside his head.

"What is wrong lord of the netherworld? Do you not like the sound of that?" Clotho whispered near Jeongguk's right ear. Atropos giggling on his left. Lechesis just stared at them with a mischievous and knowing grin. Hades did not answer back, he just glared at the ground with gritted teeth. He had no answer to give. But Demeter gasped as well as his eyes shot up at what Lechesis said next.

"Then why don't you send him over to Olympus?"-
