TP POV:

The sound of metal hitting metal is aggressive. The action of swinging a sword in full force is even more so. But the motion of the blade as it cuts through the wind is so freeing it gives the wielder a sense of exhilaration like no other.

Gasps of air left Taehyung's lips, a permanent smile etched onto his face as he held two swords in each hand. One blocking Namjoon's incoming mace while the other was used to dispel the movement of Jimin's longsword.

He could hear Dionysus saying something in the background but it was incoherent as he was much too focused on the task at hand. Poseidon's laugh however was very much audible.

It was as if time slowed as Taehyung became hyper focused on every spike on Namjoon's mace, heart thumping against his chest. But then they both suddenly backed away. The demigod felt as if he was jolted out of a trance. He looked to the two in slight annoyance but grew shocked.

Jimin's eyes started glowing azure while Namjoon's eyes turned lavender. Nike came rushing towards them with worry and anger splayed on her face. Jimin and Namjoon as well as Nike turned towards a certain direction where an empty lot of land stretched out, all with fury bursting out of them.

The confused demigod then turned to Jin who had come up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder, concern in his eyes.

The atmosphere turned hostile as a figure suddenly emerged from the plain lands as if out of thin air. Taehyung blinked surprised as a tall male figure came into view. He was muscular, black ink running every inch of his exposed arms and neck, he was clad in metal armour, hair as red as fire and eyes as fiery as his hair. The man had a scar on his left eye that came down from his temple to his jaw.

He looked dangerous. With his volatile aura he even felt dangerous. Taehyung had goosebumps litter his skin as the man walked closer and closer towards them. A creepy grin constantly on his face made the prince shudder.

"I heard some exciting noise coming from this direction Athena. What have you been up to?" His deep voice rang out. But the statement, although said in a friendly tone, made the omega's gut churn. Something was not right.

"I don't see how that's any of your business Ares" Namjoon all but spat out in rage. Taehyung hadn't seen him so angry before. The name had him feeling worried, the god of war was here. That did not sound like good news. "Aww, why are you being so mean?-" the man started, the cutesy act looking rather odd due to his appearance. "-it makes me want to cut off your pretty little heads" he finished with an innocent smile that did not look all that innocent. Taehyung stared at him eyes wide as Ares stared them down.

"I'd like to see you try" Jimin snarled, eyes squinting. Ares squinted back, he didn't seem best pleased about that challenge. he looked down at Jimin's long sword with a smirk. "I will take you up on that offer. Let's have a duel. I'm itching for some blood" he laughed then his eyes turned to Nike without turning his head and he said, "give me a blessing so I'll win won't you?" The sentence came out mockingly.

Nike scoffed "you dream big for a coward" she barked. Then him and Nike proceeded to glare at each other as if they would kill the other with just their stares. While that happened Taehyung heard Jin whisper to Jimin and Namjoon, "you guys better not engage him. Last time you dueled with him Hera got involved. Things won't end so well this time. We can't afford her attention" he spoke while gesturing towards Taehyung with his eyes. Jimin and Namjoon huffed but nodded reluctantly.

The mention of Hera's name had Taehyung's heart dropping to his stomach. Hera's attention meant Zeus's attention, and that spelled trouble at every syllable.

"Leave Ares. We don't have the time to amuse your sick cravings. If you want attention so bad, why don't you go crying to your mum" Jimin spat, meaning disrespect in every word. Taehyung frowned at the obvious hostility and foul way of speaking. "You'll hear from me fish blood. I won't let this disrespect be" he growled before giving Taehyung a dark glare. Something about that glare gave the Omega a bad premonition. He hoped he was wrong. Surprisingly Ares walked away without another dispute.

"What in hell's purgatory was that?!" Taehyung screeched awestruck. He did not expect them to be so mean, especially since Ares didn't say anything all that provocative. Sure the god was creepy but that did not entail insults such as that.

"Ares has a history of approaching gods asking for duels and then brutally injuring them, or slaughtering for no reason." Jin explained in summery. Taehyung gasped horrified. He was all about dignity and discipline, so hearing such a thing was next to blasphemy. But what unsettled Taehyung the most was that this whole time Ares kept glancing at his face then at his hands.

Instead of brooding over this unpleasant encounter the gods opted to introduce Taehyung to Hephaestus instead. When they mentioned that he was the one who created Gorgol he was ecstatic to meet the god. However, a feeling of doom still lingered with for a long moment after his encounter with the god of war.

Hephaestus's den was so hot and humid that Taehyung felt like his skin would peel off. Luckily, Jimin cast a spell on him that covered him with a thin layer of water to prevent overheating.

As he entered the cave the omega stared in awe. Lines and steaks of lava on the walls that stretched further inside the cave. They glowed in the dark den so it fascinated Taehyung who hadn't seen something like that before. As they ventured further in and the prince was shown the large oven with a steaming chimney inside the rather grand interior he couldn't help but gasp. The sound of deafening hammers caught his attention almost immediately.

And there he saw the man with his upper body exposed, a hammer the size of his head in his left hand. His muscular back bulged and rippled as he swung the heavy equipment into a flaming rod with a deafening clank.

"Minjae" Namjoon called out with a voice even more deafening than the swinging hammer. And the blacksmith halted at the call. Slowly turning around to look at them.

Taehyung looked at the man as he turned using his rotatable chair. His legs folded crossed and unmoving. Taehyung's heart clenched a little. He has seen many of his soldiers becoming disabled after war and the sight always left a bitter feeling in his heart.

But nevertheless he did not feel pity for any of them. Rather his heart swelled with pride as he watched them overcome every obstacle in life and prove to the world that they were still champions. With or without a limb or two.

Now seeing Hephaestus, a god that was recognised not for his birth given powers but for the skills he has so vigorously honed, needed by mortals and gods alike, Taehyung felt immense pride. So he smiled at the blacksmith with a large smile, showing all of his pretty teeth.

Hephaestus whom he has now known as Minjae smiled back at him just as brightly. He acknowledged the others beside him before beckoning him to come closer.

The demigod walked up to the god who was drenched in sweat. "You must be Taehyung. I'm Hephaestus. You can call me Minjae" the blacksmith introduced himself with a charming smile. "Hello " Taehyung grinned back. "I heard you were the one who made Gorgol for me. I'm truly grateful. He has been my greatest companion in a lot of battles" he continued.

There was no better praise for a blacksmith. Minjae broke into a happy smile chest puffing up in pride. Hugging Taehyung in his excitement. Jimin shouted behind them grossed out. Jin laughing hysterically.

When the Omega prince had asked what Minjae was making, a dangerous sparkle lit up his eyes. Namjoon and Jimin shook there heads as Minjae excitedly started to blabber on and on about his new invention for the next three hours.

Taehyung laughed and watched with curiosity as the god showed him his tricks.

Unaware of what was brewing in the air.
