Kasumi's POV

-------------------------

Sasuke walked with me to Konoha hospital, his hands in his pockets. I walked beside him, grinning to myself, occasionally glancing up into the sky.

'You sure so seem excited today, Kasumi,' he smiled. I nodded.

'You betcha I am! Give me one reason why you think we're going to the hospital today,' I smirked. Sasuke looked puzzled.

'Um, because you like hospitals?' He guessed. I poked my tongue out at him.

'No silly! Today, I'm finally getting this damn split removed from my foot!' I grinned pointing at my bandaged ankle.

'Ahhh, right, how could I not notice?' He joked. He linked my arm and we wandered up to the hospital's entrance and into the waiting room.

'Kasumi-Akane Namikaze?' A nurse called. I jumped up and pulled Sasuke with me. We went into the doctors room and I sat down on the bed.

'Ohayō Kasumi, I see you're rather happy this morning,' the doctor said. I nodded, grinning.

'Well now, you've brought you're boyfriend along again,'

I began blushing furiously but I nodded shyly. Sasuke smirked, nodding too.

'Well then, let's have a lookie at this ankle then,' the doctor said, examining it. I glanced up at Sasuke, giving him a nervous smile. Sasuke smiled at me, melting my heart as the doctor finished.

'It seems good so far, so now we're going to remove the splint and then you can go!' The doctor said, as he began unwrapping the bandages around the splint. He took them off carefully and then removed the wood which supported my ankle, then finally, he removed the lat layer of bandages which had stopped the wood from rubbing.

'Well now Kasumi, your ankle is still quite weak, since it was the tendon that was the real damage, your bones seem strong enough so you're good to go! But take care of that ankle, just in case,' the doctor said, as I stood up.

'Heh! Feels good, Doc!' I grinned. 'Arigato!' I said turning to leave.

'Kasumi, wait,' Sasuke said, grabbing my hand. I paused. 'Hey Doc, when we were out on our latest mission, we got into a bit of a scrape, and Kasumi was wounded severely on her face. She was blinded for a long period of time and only recently got her sight back. But she hasn't been checked out completely. So if you would, please check out the wounds,' Sasuke asked. Wait no, pleaded.

'I was wondering how those mysterious scars had made their way onto her face,' he said. 'Take a seat please Kasumi,' the doctor said pushing my short fringe back so he could have a look at the dark scars that were carved around my eyes.

His eyes widened as he picked up a magnifying glass and took a closer look.

'Is there anything else that happened to her while you were on this mission?' He asked.

'She caught some serious hypothermia but she seems to have recovered, why? Is she okay, doc?' Sasuke panicked, standing up.

'She should be fine but there's something about these scars... Arigato both of you for coming, we'll be seeing you real soon,' the doctor said opening the door for us to leave. I noticed something change in his voice, but I grinned and legged it towards the door. Man, I hated hospitals! Especially after that creepy episode. But honestly, what could be so bad about my scars? Sasuke linked my arm and we strolled out of the hospital.

'Sasuke! What was that about?' I demanded, suddenly stopping, turning to face him. He looked at me, with sadness in his eyes.

'Kasumi, those scars on your eyes, there's something not right about them. Remember back in the Land of the Waves? When you had that incredible surge of power, even though you were blind, you fought as if everything was crystal clear around you, I know this because the Dobe told me,' he said, looking me right in the eyes.
