I watched Kakashi Sensei wait back with the Third Hokage. I felt Aiko's hand on my shoulder.
'Ready?' she asked me. I nodded, reluctantly and soon, we disappeared in a cloud of smoke, appearing on the training fields. The ANBU agents were all on the other side of the field but were close enough to monitor my movements. Some of them even had clipboards and were starting to take notes, which kinda threw me off a bit. Soon, Kakashi Sensei and the Old Man appeared, the smoke blown away by the strong gushes of wind. The Old Man made his way to the where all the ANBU with the clipboards were and sat down on some random chair that magically appeared out of nowhere.
'Kasumi, are you ready?' the Old Man asked. I shook my head, panicking.
'No, I don't wanna fight Kakashi Sensei! Why are we doing this?' I asked, worried. The Old Man let a small smirk sneak onto his old, wrinkled face.
'Lord Hokage, are you sure this is a good idea?' Kakashi Sensei asked. The Hokage nodded, his face emotionless.
'Begin,' he ordered. My eyes widened as I saw Kakashi Sensei reach to pull up his headband. He slowly lifted the band to reveal his sharringan and I realised why the Old Man had kept him behind. He wanted Sensei to go hard on me, to show me no mercy, so he could scare this power out of me, to see what I'm worth. I clenched my fists, less afraid now that I knew what his plans were, and got into my fighting stance. I knew it would be impossible to summon such a power, especially since I was no longer blind, but I had to fight or there wouldn't be much left of me.
'I'm sorry, I'll stop at any time,' Kakashi Sensei called across the field to me. I gulped but pasted a smirk onto my face, in hope to show that I was ready. No sooner had I realised that he was running at me, with a blazing string of lightning in his hand, making the sound of a thousand chirping/screeching birds. I gasped and noticed the ground being torn up behind him as he ran at me. I swore his sharringan began to glow a blood red as he drew closer, ever closer.
I racked my brains for a way to get out of this one, but I knew that if I got hit by that thing, it'd be certain death or if I was lucky, seriously injured. And the fight had barley started! I closed my eyes in panic and began focusing my chakra. I remembered my life when I was blind, how easily I could see despite the loss of my sight. The way I'd helped save my brother, Sasuke, Sakura, Sensei, Tazuna, Inari, Tsunami. I thought of my parents, Mom, Dad...
I opened my eyes and I saw nothing, blackness, darkness, nothingness. But I felt that awesome power again, my chakra was thick enough that I could feel it around me. I felt a change in my body and everything became clearer around me.
'BLIND STATE!' I yelled out. Everything around me became silent, I heard nothing but the sound of Kakashi Sensei's foot steps as he ran towards me. I performed some hand signs and quickly stug two fingers into the soil beneath my feet, then twisting them and pulling them out quickly, flicking my wrist as I did. I felt the earth beneath my feet change as I heard the two slabs of solid rock collide with Sensei, just a few inches in front of me. Then I heard the rocks crumbling and Sensei's footsteps again. That hadn't stopped him?!
Quick as a flash I clenched my right fist and smacked it twice against my left palm, then as I drew it out, I flicked my fingers out towards the direction directly ahead. I felt the slabs of rock shoot towards him, from all directions, by the way they moved, I could tell that they were large and strong enough to hold him back for a few miliseconds. But a few miliseconds was all I needed...
I performed my final set of hand signs as the rocks all grinded together and I placed both palms on the floor.
'Earth style! Kasumi's Earth Stine Prison SMASH!' I yelled as the rocks all smashed together, leaving an eerie silence in the air. I closed my eyes and dropped to my knees, exhausted. I'd just used up so much chakra, it was amazing that I was still conscious. I heard coughs from Kakashi Sensei as I heard him struggle to haul himself out of the pile of rubble. I opened my eyes, my sight returning to me, a little blurred at first. My eyes widened as I took in the amount of damage caused by me from that short amount of fighting that we'd just done.
'Sensei!' I gasped as I saw him struggle to get out. He eventually did but he wasn't angry, bin fact he looked pretty amazed.
'Well, I had no idea you could cause so much damage, just like your brother,' he chuckled. I sighed in relief and turned to see the rest of the ANBU's and the Hokage. All of their mouths were hanging open with disbelief. The Hokage stood up and walked towards me, followed by the others.
'Kasumi, after witnessing that fight and seeing the white chakra and the damage and power that you posses, I think it's safe to say that you have accidentally created your own kekkei genkai...' He said, smiling at me, pleased.
I got up off my knees and grinned. The Hokage smiled back.
'I think it's time we went and took records of this "Blind State" of yours, hmm?' He said turning to leave. I watched Aiko walking towards me, her hand reaching up to remove her mask. She removed it to reveal her face, which was quite pretty, her features were similar to Hinata's, only older and her eyes were a sea green. She nodded at Kakashi Sensei who stood by me, and nodded back.
'That's quite a student you've got there, Kakashi. Be sure to train we well, and if you ever need a hand, you know where I am,' she smirked and placed a hand on my shoulder.
'Well I've gotta say, my hat, ahem, mask, goes off to you Kasumi. You're gonna go far, kid,'
