Author's Note: Here's Chapter 2! I'll hopefully be able to start posting chapters more regularly, but we'll see how it goes. Any comments are always welcome!

After Anakin parked his truck, he led her into the school. As they walked through the halls. Ahsoka was able to take a closer look at him. Besides his messy brown hair and imposing height, Anakin had blue eyes and a curious scar on the right side of his face, running from above his eyebrow to his cheek. He wore a red tee shirt, black pants, black sneakers, and a blue and gray leather jacket with red accents.

One thing Ahsoka noticed was that stares followed him as they walked through the halls, the vast majority of them being girls. She smirked at Anakin's obliviousness.

After a few minutes of silence, Ahsoka decided to speak. "Aren't you supposed to be showing me around?"

Footsteps sounded behind them, saving him from having to respond. Turning, Ahsoka saw another teen approaching them. He seemed to be around Anakin's age, with closely cropped blonde hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. Despite being a few inches shorter than Anakin, his broad shoulders made him seem just as tall.

Great, I'm probably the shortest high-schooler here.

He also wore a leather jacket, like Anakin, but his was blue and white. His pants were black and he had blue high tops to complete the look.

What is it with people and color schemes here?

Ahsoka saw more than a few girls staring at him as well. Seriously, how oblivious could these guys be?

She was snapped back to reality when he spoke. "There you are, General. Padmé's looking for you." He had an accent she couldn't place, almost Australian, but not quite.

Anakin's cheeks turned bright red. "Oh, um, right. Thanks, Rex..." He stole a quick look at Ahsoka, who had her eyebrows raised.

While she was interested in Anakin's love life, she was trying to figure out why Rex had called him "general".

Rex focused his attention on her. "Who's the kid?"

Annoyance briefly flared in Ahsoka's chest, but she ignored it. She was used to people calling her that now. "I'm a new student, the name's Ahsoka Tano."

Rex looked back at Anakin. "You're showing her around? Voluntarily?" he asked with raised eyebrows.

"Obi-Wan said I had to because I almost ran the kid over," he grumbled.

Ahsoka put her hands on her hips, glaring at Anakin. "Stop calling me 'kid'! You're stuck with me," Ahsoka paused, thinking of a brilliant nickname. "Skyguy."

Rex laughed, quickly trying to hide it by covering his mouth. Anakin frowned as he glared right back at her. "Hey! Don't get snippy with me, kid!"

Ahsoka grinned at him, crossing her arms.

With one more frown at her, he turned back to Rex. "Show her around, will you, Rex? I should go see where Padmé is." Rex didn't even have the chance to respond before Anakin sped down the hallway. Without so much as a glance at Ahsoka, he called, "Thanks, Rex. You're a lifesaver."

"It's because I laughed, isn't it," Rex mumbled to himself, sighing. "Come on, kid."

Ahsoka frowned at the term again, mumbling, "I'm not really that young," but let it slide.

Rex started the tour. "We're currently in the building called 'Coruscant High'," he said. "Middle school is to the left of us and elementary is to the right. They're all connected by hallways and staircases. The gymnasium is the separate building you probably saw on the way inside. The fields are in the back, along with the elementary school play area. There's also an indoor pool in the basement, and the library is upstairs, along with the senior and AP classrooms. And... that's about it."

"Rex, why did you call Anakin 'general'?" Ahsoka asked.

"Oh," Rex laughed a bit. "Well, we figured since he was so good at the sports he does, Team Captain wasn't enough. So we went with General."

"That's actually pretty cool. What are you then?"

"Team Captain, apparently."

"Huh." They fell back into silence, Ahsoka unconsciously rubbing her arm. Rex seemed to notice.

"Did he actually almost run you over, kid?"

Ahsoka looked up at him, then back to her arm. "Well, I stepped into the road while I was lost in thought, and he swerved out of the way. I, uh, fell." Ahsoka paused. "But I'm fine! So is Anakin. I think." Ahsoka winced, realizing how embarrassing it would be to get hit by a car on the first day of school.

"What grade are you in?" Ahsoka asked, swiftly changing the subject. "Do you do any sports?"

"I'm in eleventh grade, and I do football and archery, and I'm planning on starting track this year," Rex replied, looking suspicious about her sudden subject change. "What about you, Ahsoka?" he continued anyway.

"I'm going into ninth grade, and I did fencing and track at my old school."

"Fencing, eh? This school is pretty well known for its fencing and archery programs. I think you'll like it here."

Ahsoka smiled. "I was also a Team Captain, believe it or not. Does that mean I outrank you?" she joked.

"Hmm, I'd say that experience outranks everything."

Ahsoka raised an eyebrow, stopping to face him. "Are you saying you outrank me?"

Rex chuckled, stopping as well. "Something like that."

Ahsoka huffed, crossing her arms. "Well, if experience outranks everything, then I guess I better start getting some."

They were both startled by the bell. As if appearing magically, more students began flooding the halls.

"That's the cue for morning meeting," Rex told her. "It's in the gym."

"Lead the way."

Within the first few minutes of trying to weave around other students, Ahsoka began to realize how big this school actually was. She quickly lost track of Rex in the crowd, which was one of the disadvantages of being short.

"Great," Ahsoka muttered. In the first fifteen minutes of the school day, she had made two friends, one of whom had almost run her over and dumped her on her other new friend as soon as he got the chance. This was going to be a long day.
