chapter 22/ first concert

a/n REMINDER THAT THIS WILL BE A TIME JUMP TO NEXT YEAR whoops sorry such a big jump but it needed to happen btw the book is close to being over :'(

Scar's pov

it is January 12th 2015 and i have my first concert ever tonight

its been almost a year since Justin and i have broken up.

i got over it quicker than i did with Luke. I guess im just over the whole 'boyfriend' thing right now

i of course called Jillian that night crying and she tried her best to comfort me over the phone. Wasnt the same, but the its the thought that helped.

i just finished about 20 minutes of vocal warm up,so i am currently in my dressing room freaking out because Emblem3 is almost done performing. My stage manager is trying to calm me down and get me changed

"Scarlette. Scarlette. Listen to me. You will be fine. Deep breaths and just go get changed" Sara my stage manager says shaking my shoulders a bit

"ok." i say and take a deep breath. These nerves are killer

i smile and thank her then walk into the back to change

i get changed into a purple outfit.

it has solid purple booty shorts and has a purple skirt that is cut off in the front of my body with a gold belt and the top is beaded and its has a cut in the middle showing a bit of my stomach. My shoes are black combat boots but as heels. My hair is down and parted in the middle.( gif up top)

i walk out feeling awkward about this outfit. but i guess it will look good.

"great now go out and get ur mic set up." Sara says looking at me once before pushing me out the door

i walk over to the stage people and get my mic set up and take a deep breath

"all set. good luck" The guy says after putting the mic on me.

i walk over to the group consisting of my back up dancers

"hey" i say nervously walking up to the group

"hey"Dameon says smiling at me. ( from the music vid. also others from music vid will be her backup dancers)

they all continue their conversations leaving me to self destruct on my own thoughts of messing up or tripping. Or worse, forgetting the words.

"5 minutes!" Sara says coming over to us.

i tense up and Julie just puts a hand on my shoulder causing me to jump

"hey you'll do fine." she says with a chuckle and i just sigh

"now what do you want our stage tradition to be?" she says and the whole group turns to me

umm what?

"whats that?" i ask confused

"its something you do before every show" Ashley pips up in a 'duh' tone

well sorry.

"i dont know." i say laughing.

"well how about we just hype each other up." Dameon says looking at me and i just nod cuz why not

"because it looks like Scar is about to pass out. So lets do this!" Julie yells and we all laugh

we just play music and just jump around then when its one minute until i go on we all put out hands in and cheer the last song that was on

"TURN UP TURN UP TURN UP" we all sang and continued the song while bouncing our hands in the group then at the end yell "yeah!"

i like it.
