"Charm, bakit ang ingay mo?" si mama nang dumating. Nasa likuran niya ang seryosong si Papa.
"Nothing, Mama!" she giggled.
Pinilit kong gawing normal ang bawat kilos ko. Ayaw ko na kagaya ng mga kaibigan ko ay may masabi rin ang magulang ko.
"Let's eat." sambit ni papa. It's a little weird that he's seriously grumpy today.
My papa's not smiling yet still handsome.
Saglit kaming natahimik at hinintay matapos magdasal si Charm athalos masamid ako sa sariling laway nang marinig ang huling sabi niya bago matapos ang pagdadasal.
"And papa God, take good care of kuya Layn so I can marry him in the future, but now let my ate Curns take care of his boyfriend. Amen."
Pinandilatan ako ni mama dahil sa sinabi ni Charm. I shook my head for her to know that Charm's just making a stupid logic. Inirapan niya lang ako.
"Boyfriend mo siya, Curns? Don't lie." Papa asked with a hint of warning in the way he ask.
Umiling agad ako. "Hindi po, pa." sabi ko.
"We're not in a relationship, sir." si Ryan.
Agad namang sumawsaw si Charm.
"No, Papa! They're lying! They are girlfriend boyfriend, pa!" she said in her jolliest voice.
"You should not meddle between other's conversation, Clyvelle Charmaigne." he said in serious tone.
Nakita ko kung paano yumuko si Charm.
Muling tumingin si papa sa akin. I gulped at the way he looks.
"So, you two are together..." It's not a question, it's a statement.
Tatlong beses akong umiling at winagayway ang kamay sa harapan niya para maipakitang mali ang iniisip niya.
"It's a misunderstanding, papa!" I hysterically said. I heard Charm whispering nonchalantly saying that we're together. Hindi ko siya pinansin.
Hindi sumagot si papa sa sinabi ko.
"Let's eat." iyon lang ang naging sagot niya saka nag umpisang kumain. Ganoon rin kami.
I look apologetically at Ryan. He just smiled at me.
Tahimik kaming kumakain nang bigla na namang nagsalita si mama.
"So,I didn't know that you have other boy friends except for Conrad Curns?"
Nilunok ko muna ang pagkain bago ako sumagot. "We just met, mama." I said.
Tumango tango ito saka uminom sa basong nasa tabi niya lang.
"When did you two met?" Now it's papa's turn to ask.
I gulped when I realized that if I tell them that I happened to meet him in my most ugly moment, when I'm crying because of a heartbreak, they will soon realize that it is the reason why Conrad and I is not on a good term.
"I found her handkerchief, sir. I returned it to her." si Greg na ang sumagot. Maybe he noticed that I was tensed.
Oo nga pala! Bakit ko nakalimutan 'yon!
Nangunot ang noo ni Papa na tumingin sa katabi ko. They were looking at each other like as if they are having a silent conversation and their facial expressions are the one's talking.
"Are you sure?" the hesitation was evident in my father's look and voice.
"Certainly, sir." hindi naman nagpatinag ang seryosong si Ryan.
