unKnown: Chapter 21: Heroes Past & Present (Arlo also robs a bank)

John POV: He had just received a text message from Arlo, and it seemed like everyone else did because they were all on a group chat.

Arlo: Arlo added, John, Sera, Remi, Isen, Blyke to a GC

Arlo: I don't have Mark's number memorized but if he is with y'all bring him with. I'm in New Bostin and I need help. Some friends and I ran into trouble. And Remi, you may be seriously worried about who attacked us......... please get over here ASAP. We are in trouble

Arlo hadn't responded to any messages since then

John was initially skeptical, considering that Arlo was the CEO of betrayals. But Arlo actually respected and liked Seraphina and Remi. He wouldn't betray them. Right?

Isen's new passive allowed him to sense danger to himself from almost 400 meters away. So John figured he'd send Isen in the area. If there were any issues, Isen's passive would activate and they'd drive away safely. If it didn't activate, they'd talk with Arlo. John wondered why he sounded so urgent in his tone. As much as he hated him....... Arlo did not deserve to be in any serious trouble. 

"Seems like this address is for a warehouse nearby," Isen said "It'll be about five minutes so make sure your shoes are tied and all" 

Isen just woke up from his fight with the enforcer a few minutes ago and he was less than pleased about having to head straight back into the action of it all. 

Blyke piped up at him "WHO THE F*CK WOULD HAVE UNTIED SHOELACES AFTER A FIGHT" Isen shouted back "I DONT KNOW JUST BE READY"

Remi looked at them pissed. The pink haired girl spoke up "Please quiet down. I'm trying to close my eyes for once because we've had an interesting night to say the least" Blyke nodded and Isen just shrugged at her.

"We're here". Mark parked the car and motioned for Isen to get out

Isen POV:

His passive was dead silent as he approached the warehouse. It was dark outside and this was absolutely a sketchy neighborhood for sure. 

Just then, he saw two dark figures step out of an alley. One of which had a scar across his face. The other one was more muscular and built. The more muscular figure spoke up. "You pals with Arlo?" Isen gulped and nodded. The man with the scar across his face glared at Isen "The kid said that he'd bring some more powerful friends. I see just one punk". The muscular man looked at Isen with a stare that could bring down a mountain "Hey..... where are your pals kiddo?" 

Isen was panicking and he figured he couldn't win in a fight against these guys. Plus he was still tired from his fight against conquest from earlier in the day. "They're in the van. Let me go fetch them". The two men followed Isen towards the van. He opened the door and was met with a very angry looking John. John glared at the two men "Who are they?" John asked in a menacing tone usually reserved for him being mad. The man with the scar made eye contact with him "We are friends with Arlo. And we need your help so come with us and we won't have any issues"

Seraphina looked at John and gave him some sorta look only couples can give each other. Mark looked at the group and told them to get out

The group followed the men to the warehouse where they were greeted with a table where a shorter man was lying down on it bloodied and severely burned with lichtenberg figures on him (lightning scars). Evie looked away, grossed out. Sera covered her mouth. Remi looked horrified, clearly noticing the lightning scars. John and Mark just glared at the wounds. Blyke looked like he had seen worse.
