PJ X Fresh Cute Story

Chapter 25

I had to follow him. What if something bad had happened to Nightmare? I never really got the chance to meet him but by what I heard he had been corrupted by some black apples or something. I thought that he had been doing better lately but by the sounds of things but I guess not. As I watched Fresh enter the building I followed along.

I felt like I was breaking the law and like I would be in trouble for doing this but I had to poke my nose into this. As I walked into the building I saw Fresh looking around for something or someone. He waved his hand at the lady at the front desk and started talking to her, after that he left and went to the elevator.

I had no idea what floor he may have gone to so I had to ask the lady. No idea or even any clue if she would even tell me or if she even knew where he went. I had to sound confident at least so that I may have a chance to make her think that I was with him and got lost or something.

"Hi there, that man that you just talked to, do you know what floor he went on? I was supposed to be with him."
I DIDN'T STUDDER OR PAUSE AT ALL! This was a great start!

"OH you're that little PJ person that Fresh tells me about all the time! How are ya? Did ya get lost? Oh I'll help with that he went to the top floor with Miss Alice!" 

They remembered me from last time I was here I guess. I waved my hand to her and gave my thanks. I went off to the elevator to make my way to see what was going on. I had no idea if they would be in the big room that the elevator takes you to or if they would be in a side room. What if I got lost up there and Fresh left without me and got mad for leaving him? What if-

A large wave of people came out of the elevator and slammed into me like a wave from the sea. I pushed past them and made my way to the buttons. More people squished around me and made it hard to get to the buttons. I had tried to squish my way to the panel but it was hard. As I almost made it, someone in front of me pressed the top floor button! It was Blueberry and Cross!

I was startled but stayed shut. I made my way to the back of the elevator as best I could and stayed hidden in the crowd. They seemed worried about something.

"How do you think he'll handle the news?" Blue asked.

"Hell be fine, it's Fresh we're talking about. The most emotional he gets is if he drops food or is so mad he starts to curse." Cross replied.

"Well what if he gets that mad!?" Blue looked more worried.

"Only time he's like that is around Ink nowadays so we'll be fine." They replayed looking around at the people in the elevator. It was like he was looking for someone.

"What is it?" Blue asked.

"Fresh beat us here. That or someone in here was with him today." He said as he finally turned around and saw me. It was a little scary at first but I did my best to not look him in the eyes. But I could help myself. I was scared out of my mind and looked at him.

He grabbed my arm and rubbed my head.

"Hey kid." He said to me

"PJ what are you doing here?" Blue asked me.

"Well I uh um well funny story I'm with Fresh and um." I COULDN'T THINK OF ANY LIES! Oh I'm sneaking around and listening to your conversations is all. Oh well I'm just here not listening to the one thing Fresh told me to do! What was I supposed to say here?

As the last few people got off I finally noticed that people were flooding out onto floor after floor.  I guess I got caught in the moment and didn't realize.

"Well come on, if you're with Fresh I bet he trusts you a lot with this then." Blue said

"With what?" I asked very quietly.

The doors opened and we looked out onto the floor. Fresh and Alice stood there.

"With this talk." Cross said as he stepped out.

Fresh had no look in his eye. He just stared down at me.

"Hey kiddo. What are you doing here?" He asked

Everyone turned to me.

What was I supposed to do now. I had no answer. I had no lies. I had nothing to say. Only the truth.
