Tommy's age regression was no secret to any of his friends. Even his parents knew, and while they didn't fully understand they still supported him. Basically everyone on the SMP had taken care of him or at least interacted with him once. Hell even Corpse had babysat him a few times when he couldn't stop himself from slipping after Among Us streams.
The fans were oblivious and they all planned to keep it that way for Tommy's own protection. They all loved the boy before, and after learning of his coping mechanism they only became that much more protective of the youngest. That day had been particularly long for Tommy. They'd been trying to record the mod video for hours and had only made so much progress.
He needed to have a video out by tomorrow but he'd been sick the previous few days, to the point he was to tired and to dizzy to record at all. And he would probably have to stay up all night just to edit it in time. He was tired and fuzzy and in denial of needing to slip and take a nap. Self care could wait, the fans always came first in his mind.
The others noticed he was a bit quieter then usual but ultimately chalked it up to a still sore throat. Besides, when Tubbo messaged him asking if he was feeling small just in case he had said no and that he'd tell his best friend if he was slipping. Jack was actually the most attentive to what was happening. He knew damn well that Tommy was just being stubborn, and he knew damn well that Tommy was once again putting others ahead of himself to the point of harming his mental health.
Jack first picked up on it when Jschlatt and himself were teasing Tommy as part of a bit. Tommy played along, the fans would never notice him acting to different, but he didn't yell as loudly as usual and didn't swear quite as much. Those were telltale signs of his regression. He swore in and out of littlespace but there was a definite difference in how much he did so and the tone he used.
The thing that really confirmed it for him was when Schlatt and Charlie were picking on Tubbo for another bit. Tommy got a little too defensive of his best friend for Jack to just dismiss. When he looked at Tommy's cam in discord and saw the way the boys eyes were flitting around as he fidgeted, occasionally tugging harshly at his hair or biting down on his lip to ground himself he knew he had to say something.
They were currently in a vc alone, the others having wandered off a little while ago. Tommy was currently building something that was slowly looking worse and worse clearly frustrating the boy.
"Tommy" He spoke up as he ended recording on his end.
He earned only a small hum in response. Neither of them noticed the others silently join the call. All three had decided to eavesdrop on the conversation and then scare the two at the best chance they got.
"Tommy I know you're slipping, we can finish for tonight. The fans will understand if you're a few days late. Hell you can just skip the post all together if you need" He saw Tommy's eyes widen clearly not expecting to be called out.
"I'm not slippin'! We needa- to finish tonight! I said I'd have it out by tomorrow and I'm not gonna be called a liar for it 'gain!" There was an obvious whine to his tone.
"If anyone gives you shit for it I'll beat there asses. At least take a break" Schlatt spoke up, clearly startling the two.
"But-" The blonde went to protest.
