"I promise I'll be there alright? Have a little faith in me."

You chuckled, holding Michimiya's hand close to her heart. "I know you won't disappoint." Michimiya smiled gently, cupping your hands with her own.

Sighing, you remembered the genuine look your captain gave you.

The girl was currently in the library, eating her lunch alone with her thoughts crowding her mind.

Today was the big day, Y/N's volleyball team would have to play a game without their ace player.

You weren't the only one nervous, the entire team was slightly on edge that day, not being able to get the game off of their minds. You huffed, running your fingers through your (h/c) hair.

"Is something stressing you?"

You looked up to see a face you recognized, the green-headed boy from the scrimmage. "Hi, Yamaguchi." You smiled.

"This seat taken?" The boy grinned, pulling out the chair beside the you. "No, it's not," You smiled, rubbing your neck.

"I'm fine, I just needed to take a break to think some things over." You grimaced, looking away from the boy.

"Oh am I intruding? I'm sorry, I can leave-" The boy got up before you gripped his forearm. "No it's alright, stay." You frowned, looking into the boy's green eyes.

"I- er, alright." The boy blushed, sitting back down and giving his attention to the girl.

"My team has a match today, and I can't go because I'm suspended from club activities." You sulked, propping your elbows up on the table. "Oh, I'm sorry. Do you think they'll be able to win without you?" Yamaguchi questioned, tilting his head.

"I'm not sure. I usually score around 15 points a set."

Yamaguchi's eyes widened, his mouth dropping slightly.

"What?" You raised a brow.

"N-Nothing." Yamaguchi looked away awkwardly.

"Hey, when's that Inter-High Prefectural tournament Hinata told me about?" You asked, allowing Yamaguchi to look back at you, eyes brightening.

"It's next week! I'm super pumped about it!" Yamaguchi smiled, the mood immediately becoming lighter than before. "That's great! I wish you the best of luck!" You cheered, giving a thumbs up.

"Tadashi, why're you with her?"

The teens snapped their heads to the entrance of the library, where a tall figure leaned against the doorframe. "Hey Tsukki, I was just talking to y/n here." Yamaguchi smiled, gesturing to the girl.

"Better be careful, you'll get dumber each second you're near her." The blonde grinned, pushing himself off of the doorframe and walking towards the sitting teens.
