That day when I remembered the Taniyama Family, I really wanted to see them again. Badly, very badly. I wanted to say sorry. Those men that killed Uncle Sasaki are only after us but that Family, who had given us kindness, got mixed in our problems. I also wanted to say thank you. Noll and I are very scared the first time we got kidnapped but they saved us. They gave us shelter, delicious foods, expensive clothes, kind guardians and their first ever friend. The Taniyama Family is the reason why we're living comfortably now.

I'm also guilty. They're the reason of our peaceful life but they have met a traumatic misfortune. Especially to Mai, who we considered a friend and a sister. Because of them, Uncle Sasaki died and Aunt Anne passed away too, leaving Mai all alone.

I immediately went to my room to pack my things after our parents said yes. I am planning to go to Japan. Mai is there, alone. I want to see her and apologize. It doesn't matter if she doesn't remember me, I have to say it.

"Are you really going?" I turned around and saw Noll, leaning on my room's doorframe. He looks nonchalant but I knew he is suspicious of my behaviour lately. He is my twin and he knows a lot about me so I expected it. I had acted normal but I knew he still noticed it. He just doesn't say anything.

"Yes! I will go to Japan first! You know I always wanted to know more about the country our biological ancestors came from. I will tour around and buy many souvenirs for you!" I answered playfully, not showing him my sad smile. He'll notice something if I face him now.

"You're not going there for sightseeing, Gene. You have a job to do." Noll answered me exasperatedly. He's clearly against this idea of me going somewhere alone but he still said nothing. He knew that I'll get everything my way even if he decides to go against me. Thank God, I learned something from Madoka.

"I know! I'll write a report as thick as an encyclopedia for you. Focus on your studies and don't worry about me. It will not take long." I said to him while laughing.

I do not intend to tell him about the Taniyama Family. I still remember his pained and guilty face during Uncle Sasaki's funeral. I knew he's blaming himself because he used his PK a lot before being saved by Uncle Sasaki and Aunt Anne. And I don't want Noll to remember that and blame himself again. He may be rational but he can lost it sometimes.

I remember Mai naming him 'Li' when we were children. Uncle Sasaki said that Mai named him 'Li', meaning 'reason, logic' because he looks intelligent the first time we met. Mai named me 'Jin', meaning 'bright and beautiful' because I don't look as cold as as Noll on our first meeting. She thought I would be bright and beautiful when I smile. Thinking about it now, Mai is really a psychic because she had more or less guessed what our personalities.
