A loud ringing could be heard when the school bell rang. Winter break has ended and school has started again, overwhelming the students with a lot of homework. The thing every student hated the most about school was homework.
Mrs. Cockney: "Damn it, Michael! Why didn't you do your homework!"
Her wrinkled face expressed pure anger and hatred toward him. Michael was one of the students she hated the most. He was the kind of student who never did his homework.
Michael: "I forgot."
Truth be told, he hadn't forgotten it. He had just burned it with his lighter just before winter break came.
Mrs. Cockney: "What a lame excuse! Detention for you! And if you don't show up like last time, I'll call your parents and tell them what a pathetic student you are! You got that!?"
Michael: "Uh-huh."
She trudged back to the lectern and began teaching the class.
Mrs. Cockney: "Okay kids, today we are going to learn about parables."
Mrs. Cockney began to draw a parable on the board and explained the basic outline of it.
Man, it's really boring here....
Michael is seventeen years old and is not happy with his life. The last time he really smiled was years ago. He has no friends to spend time with. His parents are rarely home because they both have important jobs. Most of the time he felt lonely, and he hated school above everything else.
School was like a prison for him. He spends six to seven hours a day in those lousy classrooms, breathing in the toxic school air. The classrooms looked depressing, the only colors were white and gray. The chairs creaked and were uncomfortable to sit on. And worst of all was his math teacher, Mrs. Cockney. Michael hated her guts. To him, she was the worst teacher in the school. Not only was her math class boring as hell, but she blamed him for a lot of things Michael didn't even do. She got mad about even the simplest things. Like when he threw a paper airplane at another student.
Michael remembered the one time he threw a paper airplane because another student threw a paper airplane at him. Michael got the famous response "If your classmate jumped out the window, would you do the same thing". Of course he wouldn't fucking do that! What kind of logic is that?
Oh, screw the boredom!
To relieve his boredom, he listens to music in class most of the time. That's also why he always sits in the back corner. It was pretty relaxing for him back here. The teacher would pay less attention to him. He covers his headphones with a hood and selects his own music playlist on his smartphone under the table.
Ahhh, much better!
Michael loved fast, energetic and aggressive music, like dubstep and metal. Most of the students laughed at the fact that he didn't listen to real music, but they also didn't listen to anything better, like modern raps and overrated radio music. Music and video games were one of the only motivations that kept him going in this miserable life. They acted like drugs that got him addicted and temporarily suppressed his problems and inner demons.
Oh man, I love this soundtrack! One of my all time favorite tracks! Holy shit! This beat just hit harder than.... Uhh... Nah man, I got nothing.
Mrs. Cockney: "Michael!"
So much for less attention. Shit!
Michael: "Oh a-ah, y-yes Mrs. Cockney?"
Mrs. Cockney: "Could you solve this problem I wrote on the board?"
