It's not that easy

Rachel
"Grandma! Grandpa!" Chris screeched as I opened the front door to reveal Carole and Burt smiling widely at us.

Today is the first football game of the season and Finn is making his debut after months of training, to say that everyone's a little excited is an understatement.

"There's my favourite grandson!" Carole grinned excitedly as she engulfed him in a hug after they'd entered the house.

"How was the flight?" I asked Burt, helping him with his bags.

"As good as it could possibly be at the ungodly hour we had to leave" he explains as I laugh at the dramatic sigh at the end of his sentence.

Finn left early to get in some extra training for the game, Carole and Burt have decided to stay with us for the weekend so we can watch him play.

"Would you feel better if I told you breakfast was on the table?" I teased causing us to share a laugh before he agreed.

"Grandpa! Grandpa!" Chris ran into the room excitedly with Carole in tow, "sit next to me!"

"Sweetie, everyone's a little tired right now so let's use inside voices" I laugh a little as we all take a seat at the table.

Everyone dives in as we begin a lighthearted conversation about Finn's game.

However I'm mostly quiet for the fact that I have a lot on my mind, admittedly most bad. But, currently the winning thought was waking up with Finn this morning which was putting an uncontrollable smile on my face.

"Rach" he murmured in my ear, still spooning me as he did when we had fallen asleep. "Wake up gorgeous"

I mumble something incoherent in return as I snuggle further into the covers and his arms

He kisses the back of my head and chuckles a little before trying to wake me up again, "pleaseeeeeee"

"No" I return simply, my eyes staying closed the full time.

"But baby..." he began in that sugary sweet voice he knew I couldn't resist, "I want to talk to you and after we get up we aren't going to be fully alone again until tonight because of my game"

"Fine" I huff dramatically before I turn in his arms so that I'm facing him whilst he keeps his firm clasp on me.

"What?" I asked with a raised eyebrow as he stares down at me with a small smile.

"You're beautiful" he says simply, leaning down to kiss my head softly.

"Is this really why you woke me up?" I asked tiredly, although I can't help the butterflies in the pit of my stomach.

"No..." he admitted.

"Then out with if Hudson so I can get back to my sleep"

"I know we want the baby's gender to be a surprise when he or she is born, but I think I've come up with the best baby name that could work for either"

"Yeah?" I ask, my interest piqued.

"Okay, so remember a couple of years ago when we went on vacation?"

"I do" I reply, not really understanding how that's relevant in this conversation.

"And we were drinking tons of Fanta right and it was weird because it tasted so much better in the sun?"

"Finn, please tell me you aren't trying to name our child Fanta?" I cut him off incredulously as his hopeful expression turns into one of sadness.
