My own version of Merder's fanfic story.
PS. This is my first time writing a story and I'm not really good in medical terms. Thank you and I hope you like it.
Meredith enjoys the company of the Shepherds, and she sure will be wanted to come again. They invited her to the girl's night out. It was late in the evening when she says goodbye and headed to Lexie's apartment. She immediately collapses in her bed and can't stop thinking about her date with Derek tomorrow.
"Good morning Mer" Lexie greeted her while placing a pancake on her plate.
"Morning Lex" she smiled
"So did you enjoy the dinner last night?"
"Yes, I enjoyed it. Hey, I need your opinion on something"
"What is it?"
"Well, I have a date tonight and I don't know what to wear" she bit her lip.
"Is it Derek, isn't he?" she giggled
"I didn't say that"
"But your face did! So, you should wear a dress"
"Ok I'm just gonna see what I have in my suitcase"
It was 5:30 pm and Derek is supposed to meet her at 7 o'clock. She still doesn't decide what to wear and she is totally freaking out. She tries all her dresses and still does not like them all but luckily Lexie lends her a black jumpsuit that totally looks elegant on her. After she got ready she heard the sound of the doorbell which means that Derek is already there.

"Hi" she smiled at him
"Uhmm Hi Mer. You look beautiful" he asked without taking his eyes away from her
"Thank you and you're not half bad yourself " she smiled and he pressed a light kiss on her cheeks
Derek cast a glance at Meredith as he drove to the restaurant he'd chose for their date. She had a big smile on her face and was sniffing the exquisite tulips he'd just given her. They make small conversation while driving to the restaurant. They arrived at one of the best Italian restaurants in New York and enjoy a wonderful meal.
"So have you thought about the fellowship?" he began
"Well yes and no. Yes, I thought about it and I want to take the offer. The only problem is that I will be leaving my position in Seattle Grace which I really don't care about because I know that Dr. Rhea Williams is good and can handle my department but I haven't really talked about this to my mom." she explained
"You should talk about this to her maybe tomorrow so we can tell Richard about your fellowship and the position of a general surgeon. We have an opening for the chief of general but I don't think that's a good idea. You will be so busy especially you will be a fellow and an attending at the same time."
"Yeah, maybe that's okay for now. By the way, how's my favorite girl doing?"
"She's doing good and ready to go to school next week."
"That's good..."
"Hey... I hmm... Mer I enjoy being with you and I really like you."
"I... I like you too" she blushed
"So... were dating?"
"Yes we are"
"What will happen to us if you go back to Seattle?"
"I think I'm gonna move here"
"Really?" he smiled and hugged her tightly
The dinner was amazing and Meredith can't take the smile on her face. She hasn't felt this kind of feeling before even though in her past relationship. For her, there is something different about Derek that her ex-boyfriend didn't have. They started to get to know more about each other. Derek was amazed by her and he can tell that he wants to be with her forever. They talked about their past relationships, hobbies, and surgery.
"Derek thank you for tonight. I really have a good time" she said
"Tonight is amazing Mer and I can't wait to see you again" he smiled
Their eyes met and they couldn't help but lost in each other. Derek slowly pulls her closer and kisses her. Meredith kiss her back and placed her hand in his chest feeling his heartbeat. He slowly kiss her neck and rubs his hands in her back up and down. He deepens his kiss causing her to moan and she whispers"Goodnight Derek" she interrupts him before it goes further more than kissing, "Good night Mer" he replied and kissed her again before leaving her apartment.
