CHAPTER 17

Sooooooo yah I'm back once more hahaha sorry for the long absence I've got lots of stuff going on since its finals and stuff XD But no worries I might update more frequently since the school year is ending soon. Well here goes Chapter 17 hope you enjoy~!

-=MIZU'S POV=-

"Mizuki."

I felt a stab on my chest. It hurts...

"Mama!" This time she latched herself to our step-mother who smiled in return and caressed her hair gently.

Mizuki giggled and looked at me and then smiled. I looked away. She let go of our step-mother and went to my side.

"Hey big sis."

I looked at her then walked away entering the mansion. I climbed the stairs and navigated my room along the series of doors on the corridor. When I finally stopped in the front of my room door, I twisted it open and entered. After entering I closed the door and locked it.

It seems that they kept my room tidy. I walked to my bed and lied there my face pressed on the pillows. Mizuki...

For what seems like hours but in reality just minutes, I heard a knock on the door. 

"Young lady, I'm here to deliver your belongings." 

I left the bed and went tot he door. After unlocking it, I opened the door and was greeted by our maid, Rachelle. 

I took the luggage and my other belongings from her. I thanked her and closed the door. I opened my closet and started unpacking my clothes and other things. 

After unpacking, I opened my PSP and continued where I left in the game. After a few more hours I heard a knock on the door once more.

"Mizu, dinner's ready."

Mizuki.

"I'm coming." I saved my data on the game and turned of my PSP. I fixed my clothes and re-fixed my hair before leaving the room.

When I arrived at the dinning area, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly cooked food. I entered the room and sat down on my designated place. 

There were roasted kangaroo meat, beef stew, baked chicken, rice and grilled tuna. We ate in silence until Mizuki spoke.

 "Big sis Mizu, why don't we spend tomorrow bonding? Maybe like go shopping? Go see a movie? What do you think?" She asked turning to me a big grin plastered on her face.

"Why Mizuki! Its a wonderful idea!" Our step mother said in glee. 

I finished everything on my plate and stood up leaving the dining area.

"Tomorrow at nine in the morning!" Mizuki called.

But before I was out of the earshot completely I heard my father mutter: "What a despicable child."

I swallowed the lump that has formed in my throat and went back to my room.

...

I gathered my toiletries and pajamas and went to the bathroom connected to my room to take a shower.

I got undressed and turned the shower on. Cold water immediately rained upon me. I quickly turned it off and shivered. I forgot to turn the heater on...

Once I made sure the heater was on, I opened the shower again. This time, letting my hand get soaked first to make sure it is indeed warm. When the temperature was right, I stepped in.

I turned the water off and dried myself with a towel. After drying myself I wrapped around my body. I approached the counter with my pajamas placed atop on it. I removed the towel around my body and started to get dressed.
