Ink's emotions slowly faded back in as the paint dripped down his throat. Blue took the vial away from the creator's mouth after he had taken all of the paint. Ink let out a small cough as his eyes flickered to life. Dream watched and smiled as the creator's aura returned. Ink turned to face towards Dream before resting his head on a tentacle again, the lingering feeling of guilt haunting over Ink. Ink didn't want to accept what he's done. He wanted to hurt himself for even trying to hurt Dream and Blue.

Error kicked the dust lying on the floor causing it to spread thin. A few of the bright red vials sat in the dust. He bent down to pick up the vials before he threw them through a portal into the antivoid, they would be safe there. After a moment he turned back towards the dust and scoffed before turning away and teleporting to a different area of the mansion. The world seemed still and silent despite the fighting that wasn't too far away. Nightmare fidgeted with his thumbs not knowing what to do or say. Blue could feel the tension and had everyone go inside the building. Dream was the first one to hop back through the window with Ink being dragged behind him. Nightmare slipped through the window immediately after Dream and Ink. He fell to the ground turning into a puddle and leaving the room in just a few seconds. Blue came back into the room shutting the window behind him. By the time Blue was inside, Ink had already been put back in his bed. Blue stared at the creator for a few seconds. His expression was blank, not even wanting to talk to Ink. the creator stared back, his eyes a dark blue color. Without a word, Blue turned and left the room. He followed the specs of black goop through the halls to find where Nightmare had gone off to.

Nightmare had left the room due to feeling a strong negativity coming from his lover. He followed the trail leading to a balcony where Error had teleported to. Error was sitting on the railing looking in the only direction where there wasn't fighting. Nightmare could tell Error was stressed. He silently rose from his puddle and pulled himself onto the railing that Error had been sitting on. It was a bit difficult for him since he was only the size of a toddler. Error looked over at Nightmare before grabbing him by the arm and pulling him up beside him. Nightmare just chuckled nervously not really knowing what to say. The two sat in silence until Nightmare leaned onto Error's shoulder.

"I can tell your upset Glitchy...do you want to talk about it?"

"No, not really."

"...is it the squid?"

Error glanced over to Nightmare who was looking up at him. Nightmare looked worried just wanting to be sure Error felt safe. "yeah, I just...don't trust him." Nightmare just responded with a small "hm" before falling silent again. He was trying to think of what to say but everything was confusing to him. "I'll always love Dream but sometimes he's just an idiot. He forgives way to easily" Nightmare spoke softly trying to sound comforting even when his brothers being stupid. "I'll forgive that bastard when the rest of your team is back. Hell, I'm not happy with Dream being here. I still haven't forgiven Dream. He has fought all of us countless times and has given us so many scars. Why do YOU even trust him Nightmare? I get he's your brother and all but that doesn't mean we should just forgive him." Error spoke sternly, the glitching interrupted his speaking much more than normal. Nightmare was taken aback by the attack on his brother, but he could understand where Error was coming from. Not to mention Error doesn't forgive often. Nightmare took a moment to gather his thoughts before sighing and responding to Error. "Look, I know you don't trust them. I don't trust them either. You're completely right, both Dream and Ink have hurt us and I'm not asking you to forgive them for that. I'm especially not asking you to forgive the squid. Just...be willing to see how they both change. Hell this could be an amazing opportunity for us. While I dont like them, there is a ton we could gain from this. Not to mention Dream is my brother. As far as I know, he wouldn't hurt me. I want my brother back Error" Nightmare finished after sighing again. Error just turned away from Nightmare. "Just...give me time to think about it, Nighty. I don't want to do anything too risky." Nightmare nodded before giving Error a small kiss on the cheek. The glitch smiled, slightly blushing, as Nightmare turned away from him and hopped off the balcony railing.

Blue had been watching the conversation from just outside the balcony door. He looked a bit worried about everything happening. Nightmare passed by Blue silently grabbing his hand and dragging him as he walked. Blue was caught off guard but followed closely behind Nightmare. He led Blue down to the basement and into the maze. Blue didn't ask any questions, Nightmare probably wouldn't answer anything anyways. The two passed through the crowd of civilians who were still underground before ending up in the room with the machine Ink had broken. Blue looked over at Nightmare, still very confused. "Nightmare..? Why are we he-" Blue was cut off by Nightmare asking a question. "Do you think he will actually fix it? Do you think there is any chance of me seeing my team again?" Blue was a bit stunned and didn't know how to answer. Nightmare stared into Blue's eyes causing the small skeleton to only grow more nervous about his answer. He couldn't bring himself to say anything to Nightmare.

Blue didn't know what to say. He didn't know the answer to Nightmare's question. It was difficult to tell when Ink lied about something. "Well..?" Nightmare asked again. He was impatient and needed an answer. "Am I ever gonna see my team again Blue? Am I ever gonna see my family?" Tears began to form in the corner of Nightmare's eye as his voice hitched. He still was hopeful that Blue would tell him the creator was honest. Blue could feel his soul aching for his friend. He didn't want to hurt Nightmare anymore. "Nightmare I-" he started. His soul was pounding in his chest as he desperately tried to figure out what to say.

"I honestly just don't know..."
