I pace for awhile across my bedroom waiting for Enzo to come back.

A knock comes from the door a few minutes later and I pull my dress back on and zip it up as much as I can reach just in case it isn't Enzo. Something tells me it isn't... he wouldn't knock.

"It's me," I hear a familiar voice on the other side of the door and I sigh and reach to open it. I don't exactly know what to do - if I let him in, Enzo will surely lose his mind, but if I go into the hallway, I'm breaking my promise to him...

Danny appears, blood trickling down his chin from a cut on his lip and another on his cheek. A dark circle is forming under his other eye. His curly hair is tangled and all over the place. Despite all that, he's still wearing his signature smirk.

"What happened?" I ask, scrunching my nose up as I step closer and reach up to grab his chin lightly. I move his face left to right, assessing the damage. He's definitely going to have a black eye.

"Oh, nothing, it's not as bad as it probably looks." He shrugs and I wait for some gross or sexual comment like usual, but it doesn't come. I also expect him to try to pull away from my grasp, but instead he leans in ever so slightly closer to me. Or, I'm imagining it. Maybe I am.

"You're bleeding!" I point out the obvious that he clearly doesn't understand.

"I'll be fine, Cat." It's weird hearing my name on his tongue. I'm so used to 'little lion' by now.

I release his chin and grab his hand, quickly pulling him towards my bathroom. I know this won't be good for me - or him - if Enzo finds us like this, but I have to clean him up. I know deep down he is only hurt because of what I did down there - my overreaction.

"Risking it all for me, huh?" He jokes as I make him sit on the edge of the bathtub that to this day I haven't used.

I roll my eyes and stare into his bright blue eyes through the mirror as I dampen a hand towel in the sink with warm water.

"Are you going to tell me who did this?" I change the subject. We both already know he was right. I am risking a lot having him in here.

I kneel in front of him, between his legs, pushing my dress up my thighs a little for better mobility and I don't miss his eyes look down at them for a brief second. Then he looks into my eyes and shrugs again, his joking smirk faded now that we are this close.

"Someone didn't agree with what you did, that's all," he mumbles and I frown guiltily. "It's not a big deal." He adds, seeing it.

"I shouldn't have done that," I admit as I wipe the blood slowly off his chin. He doesn't flinch at the contact of the towel. This isn't his first rodeo.

He half-scoffs, stopping himself from jerking his face too much, trying to keep still for me I think.

"Are you kidding me?" He asks as if I'm insane. "That was amazing!"

"I stabbed someone, Danny-"

He laughs like I just made a joke. "Oh, I know, and it was perfect."

This guy is fucked... seriously...

I stay silent as I concentrate on wiping the remaining red smears off his cheek, trying to avoid the cut under his eye on his cheekbone. I feel him watching me intently, staring at my face.

"Did you see their faces?" He says after a few moments and I can't help but smirk.

"They definitely hate me more now, but I don't really care anymore. If they don't like me, they don't like me."
