"You cannot stop me from loving him."

SMUT

.............

You awoke to the sunlight peeking through the curtains on the opposite side of the room. Wait, you had never felt the sun when you woke up because your window was not close to a hole in the cave. This wasn't your room. When you tried to shift under the sheets, your body protested, and the memory of the night before came back to you. Everything hurt. You groan in pain and curl yourself into a ball, pulling the sheets to your chest. You almost jump when Legolas' arms snaked around you, but you soon relaxed and sighed happily. He placed little kisses on your bare back while his hands ran through your hair.

"Good morning, my love." He whispers and pulls you closer to him.

"Good morning, darling." You smile and turn around to face him. He must have noticed that you were in pain, and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Are you alright?" He says and caresses your cheek.

"Yes, but I'm just a little sore." That must have been the largest understatement you had ever said.

"I am as well, darling." He smiles and kisses your forehead. Something felt off. The sun shouldn't be this bright if you had woken up normally. If you had woken up normally...

"Valar! Legolas, what time is it?" You practically scream, scaring him slightly. His eyes shoot toward the sun coming through the window, and he grows white.

"It's almost noon." He mutters, making your heart stop. You both were supposed to be at your posts no later than 7:00 a.m. Before either of you could scramble to get up, someone slams their fist on the door.

"Legolas! Open the door this instant." The booming voice of the king could not be mistaken. You both were so shocked, you didn't move or say anything.

"Open it." You hear Thranduil say to another guard. The only thing you could do to hide yourself was throw the sheets over your head. When Thranduil came storming into the room, he stopped in his tracks.

"Leave us." Thranduil said to the two guards that had followed him in. Legolas looked up at his father with embarrassment and fear in his eyes.

"This is what was keeping you from your duty?" He says through gritted teeth. You assumed he didn't know it was you under the sheets based on his tone.

"Father I-" Legolas tried to explain himself, but Thranduil would not let him.

"I am extremely disappointed in you, my son. You cannot be fooling around like this; you are a prince." You hear his footsteps move closer to you, and your heart rate increases dramatically.

"Get dressed and get out." He growls at you, but you don't move an inch.

"That is an order from your king, whore." He says and throws off the top of the sheets, revealing your head. His eyes grow wider than you had ever seen them, and he almost fell back.

"Y/N?" He breathes out in disbelief.

"Father-" Legolas says, but Thranduil stumbled out of the room, slamming the door on the way out.
