Crazier things by Chelsea cutler

"Namjoon I know you're fit and all but in what language is a 20 minute walk close? Like it's a serious question. Do-"

"We're here." He said chuckling.

"Oh, Sweet baby Jesus-"

That was all he heard before the silver silken girl made a beeline into the 24/7 convenience store. He could only see the top of her head bent over the freezer her index finger tracing which ice cream sounded tempting. Chuckling to himself he made his way into the store the familiar face of the college student who was cramming before her exam. "Hey lia." He nodded at her.

"Hmm." was all she said getting back to her med books, her fingers hooked around a human bone making namjoon internally cringe. This was a familiar sight but one he could never get used to. A-rin nibbled on her lower lip, fighting between choco-mint and vanilla. Giving up she pointed two fingers at Namjoon who slipped his phone back into his pocket, his questioning gaze fell on her distressed one. "Pick one." She said.

Rolling his eyes he picked her index earning a a firm nod from her. "Choco mint it is." She declared. Namjoon's face twisted in disgust. "Is it too late or can I pick the other one?"

"Choco-mint tastes like toothpaste." He said.

"Then tell me what toothpaste you use cause mine doesn't." She said walking to the cashier who put the bone down before billing the items. Just as she finished packing the ice cream in a flimsy plastic bag, Namjoon placed a cheap wine bottle and a chocolate ice cream on the counter earning a questioning glance from A-rin.

A-rin watched him pull out his wallet before placing the money on the counter. The ice cream already opened with her spoon in her mouth. Yes, she loved this flavour. She didn't get why people like Namjoon and her brother hated it with their whole lives.

The both of them walked out of the store ice cream in their hand and the wine bottle in the bag. "Namjoon, I'm not sure if you know this but normal people drink water when they're thirsty." She said pointing her small plastic spoon at him.

"Normal people don't disgrace humanity." He said jerking his chin to her ice cream cup earning a gasp from her.

"Heathen." She gasped placing her hand over her heart.

"And I'm the one being extra." He laughed.

"Can I ask you a question." It was her turn to ask.

He hummed, a frown on his lips as he struggled texting jin and holding the ice cream at the same time. A-rin noticing this rolled her eyes before dropping her spoon in her cup, she reached out taking his as well. Namjoon shot her a grateful smile before he got back to typing out an answer to a panicking jin. 'No, I'm not dead Hyung.'

"How come you weren't at the party? You told me Jackson meant a lot to you."

Namjoon sighed craning his head to look at the moonlit sky, fluffy clouds racing one another occasionally blocking the glimmering moon. Night's were always more peaceful, more understanding and more comfortable. It was the only time during his day he didn't have to be RM, just a normal guy. But he guessed that was stupid of him to think, his fame was beautiful and filled with opportunities for him to excel in what he loved doing with his whole heart but sometimes he just needed to stop for a second to catch up with this.....he never thought he could get used to it. The hype, the parties, the constant needing to look his best and be his best, his need to hold a put together front for his brothers and his fans. He couldn't talk to anyone about this so it all ended up as music in a hidden folder of his computer.
