In the morning rain I sit so close to you
Staring at the sky can't believe the view
After everything you would never know
That this bleeding heart is on it's way back home

Winter 2023
"Joon, slow down!" Rin yelled, a bubble of laughter escaped her lips closing the large distance between the couple as they pedalled across the biking trail. Namjoon turned around watching the love of his life sputter out yells of concern, god...would he ever get used to this?
"I'll fall off the bike if I go any slower baby!" He chortled almost loosing balance. A-Rin felt her heart drop to her feet watching him fumble for balance before he got his bike under control again. This was tradition for them really, to bike together in Yeouido Park on a late saturday afternoon.
Namjoon steered his bike into the lawn along the river making way to their usual spot under their tree, the canopy of rustling winter-resistant leaves filled their ears. Gritting her teeth, A-Rin took in a deep breath pedalling faster towards her boyfriend who plopped down in front of the tree resting his back against it. There weren't many people this time of the year and honestly it didn't matter even if they were spotted. Namjoon knew him dating would be received by the public in different ways but he chose to place his happiness over the others and quite honestly it felt nice. Especially when he came home to a beautiful soul who understood his.
These last two years were the best years of his life, after covid was brought under control and the world was more or less vaccinated, life became sub-normal again. Their tours started, music was made and albums hit the market breaking their own records. BTS was just as dynamic and ever growing and young. While RM took over the music world, A-Rin bent the art world by creating master piece after masterpiece talking about sensitive issues and philosophy, mental illness and politics. She was an idol for the young creative minds stimulating a different way of thinking. And together they brought out the best in each other.
"Remind me again how you convinced me to do this every week?" She exasperated, pulling down her sweater sleeves down her cold palms as she walked up to him, letting the leaves crunch beneath her shoes. Namjoon snickered leaning his head back on the trunk, his baseball hat covered a part of his face (Well, he was still an idol) allowing her to only see his smug grin as he reached out for her hand and drew her in. It was almost natural at this point how her back leaned perfectly on his chest, body nestled between his long legs.
He wasn't even discreet as he took a whiff of her vanilla body mist, the scent sending jolts of warmth through every nerve ending. Home.
She interconnected their fingers partly because she missed him and partly because she felt cold and namjoon was her human heater ever since she moved in with him. "How's that painting coming along?" He asked perching his chin on her shoulder. Ugh, the painting...Shutting her eyes she grimaced lolling her head back into his shoulder watching his playful eyes from under his cap. "That bad, huh?" He chuckled circling his arms around her waist, fingers still knotted.
