Punching in her security code she winced hearing the soft click as the front door peeped open. She left Namjoon deep asleep on his couch with a blanket draped over his body. It wasn't her plan to fall asleep there only to wake up six hours later quietly cursing at herself but it ended up happening. Nevertheless, she was happy that he got to rest properly.

She was brought back to her senses by the slow pitter patter of rain against the glass panes throwing spotted shadows across her walls whenever a car drove past. The first thing she did was check up on knight. He lay softly breathing in his spot beside a potted plant. She smiled, stroking his velvety coat with her knuckle making him purr in bliss. "If only people could sleep as peacefully as you, hmm?" She whispered itching the space between his ears.

She chuckled softly, walking into her living room she halted abrupt, frozen.

On the floor were shoes, none that belong to her because it was a man's and none that belonged to her brother. She swallowed digging into her purse finding her phone, thinking the worst. She took a shaky step forward, heart in her ears and sweat collecting in her palms. A unbuttoned shirt and socks lay messily, crumpled on the floor. What was weird was it it was leading up to her brother's room. Gulping loudly, she pressed her ear to the door, she heard nothing. A-Rin's mind raced a hundred miles a minute, heart pounding as her sweaty hand wrapped around the door knob twisting and cracking it open.

She was confused, taken a back and completely thrown off at the sight in front of her. Her brother slept peacefully under the covers of a very messy bed next to another guy, both of them cuddled up shirtless and clothes strewn across the room in a frenzy.

She didn't dare take a breath, her throat closed up in shock and confusion.

It wasn't his sexuality that hurt her it was the fact that he didn't tell her anything. Her breaths were shallow, eyes distant zoning in and out as she struggled to comprehend this new reality. Was she hurt? 'Very much so' But she was more trying to understand his reasons to hide it from her, he knew she wasn't homophobic and she made sure to be as approachable as she could...did she lack in someplace? was she at any point offensive or hard to approach? It was all too much to process. And who was the guy he was with? did he know him even? were they boyfriends? It was all too much.

She would just have to wait till the morning when they were both awake..

Walking into her makeshift studio in the living room she watched her new painting now dry under the moonlight that spilt through the windows. The sound of the rain was the only thing keeping her mind from spiralling into a frenzy.

She picked up a tub of varnish from her cupboard of supplies and a broad flat brush. It was the last step of any painting - preserving it, sealing the colours, the textures, the words, the message into the canvas. No point sleeping now, her mind was awake thinking about the two boys who occupied her mind- Namjoon who was probably still sleeping and her twenty one year old brother who hid a huge part of himself from her.

She opened the can, the smell hitting her in the face numbing her thoughts. Dipping the brush into the varnish she lathered the canvas being careful to not rough it's edges. Her mind now occupied by the new task waited till morning when she could sit down and talk to her brother and hopefully mend whatever she did wrong. Her brother was her only family and this just made her scared that he didn't confide in her the way she did in him.

She continued her new task.
