Dr.Han advises Richard to provoke Eva so that she would deviate from her usual behavior. Hence, Richard alienates Eva at work and makes her jealous by having dinner with Hazzel. The restaurant owner tells Richard that he looks familiar. When Hazzel sees a photo of Richard proposing to Eva on the wall, she quietly puts it into her bag

Dr.Han is on a blind date set up by his mother. Tong Xin who has been following him helps him to get the girl off his back. Richard tries to make Eva jealous by meeting Hanna. But the plan backfires when Hanna tells Nie in the toilet that she is Richard's neighbor and is already engaged to someone else.

Richard seeks out Vivan to ask about Eva's ex. They get into a drinking bout and end up drunk. Eva has to send both of them home. Richard hugs her in his drunken state and states 2 things that he regrets in his life – not being able to meet her earlier and not being there when his father died. Eva pushes him away when she hears his confession. The next morning, Richard calls Eva again to test how much she cares for him. Eva rushes to his place but discovers that he is just pretending to be unconscious. She tells him that she has to leave for her college reunion.

Richard turns up at her reunion and gets clues that some of her friends have met him before. Eva drags him out of there. She claims that he looks like her ex which makes him a substitute. But Richard is still suspicious and goes back to the restaurant where he had dinner with Hazzel earlier. The missing photo leads him to confront Hazzel.
