Although disappointed, Vivan advises Eva to follow her heart if she can’t let go of Richard. He will support her no matter what her decision is. Eva is grateful to Vivan for being a precious friend. She also informs her parents that Richard is actually her ex-boss.

The next day, Richard accompanies Eva and her parents. While Eva and her mother shop, her father brings Richard for a cupping therapy and then a meal. Her father reveals that he knows Richard is Eva's ex-boss but who could be his son-in-law depends on Eva and not him. Both of them return home drunk. Eva sends Richard home. He undresses in the kitchen while drunk which embarrasses Eva.

Vivan bumps into Eva at the office. He asks her to give up pursuing Richard and purposely irritates her by mentioning her drunken pictures. Richard presents Eva's parents with a load of gifts and upgrades their tickets to fly home. He overhears them being satisfied with him but finds him too rich like Eva's ex-boyfriend whose family rejected her.

Richard wants to know the whole truth from Eva. She relates to him that his father was against their relationship. He asked her to leave his son and reject his proposal. She refused and later, gave his father their location when he called. But Richard fainted halfway through the proposal while his father died in a car accident on the way to stop them. Richard has unexplained amnesia and couldn’t remember Eva. She felt guilty about his father and didn’t know how to face him. So, she left him.

Richard is angry and feels Eva was being selfish for leaving him. She leaves his apartment and is crying at the bus stop when Eva turns up.
