Eva is being investigated. She will prove her innocence to Richard within 5 days failing which she will voluntarily resign. Eva waits to see Mr. Liao at his office but he refuses to see her. So, she goes to his residence and bumps into his wife, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s, wandering around alone. While awaiting Mr. Liao to pick her up, Mrs. Liao talks to Eva about her past and the direction to her old house.
Eva can see that Mr. Liao loves his wife very much and learns the significance of their old house. Mr. Liao thanks Eva for her help but will not change his mind about Xuhui until he sees proof. Early the next morning, Eva goes to Mr. Liao’s old house but gets stuck there due to rain. Richard looks for her and they have to spend the night there. He believes Eva that they were lovers before. He also has a photo of them in his wallet. The next morning, she tells him they should turn the place into a romantic spot. Richard agrees to the idea and asks her to take charge of the project. As Eva has been busy, Richard couldn’t find his neighbor at home.
Just before Mr. Liao sells the land to Xuhui, Richard invites him to visit his old house. He finds his wife there who is happy to be back. Eva informs him of their plan for the place. Mr. Liao ends up selling the land to Richard. Eva is back at work and Richard apologizes for misunderstanding her. But he is still unwilling to recognize her as his girlfriend as he is thinking of his neighbor.
Vivan drops by to visit Eva. Richard finds out that a man is in her apartment and is feeling restless.
