This story is actually the book number 2! So you can of course read this one right now even if you didn't read the first book but it's gonna be less interesting.

You're not gonna have the beginning of Callie and Rafe's relationship, you won't know how they fell in love or their highs and lows. So I highly recommend you to read my first book, and I'm sure you'll love it even more or as much as this one.

It happens the summer before the obx netflix series so I own the plot and everything.

PROLOGUE

Callie was a fun, cute and hot girl living in the Outer Banks. She lived alone with her older brother Cooper, in a big Kook house on figure eight.

She belonged to the Kook community but had always hated it with her whole heart. She had been Pogue by choice for as long as she could remember it, and couldn't stand the Kook life.

When she was younger, her parents died in a plane accident, which had hurt her a lot. She then had been forced to live with her abusive uncle for roughly eight years.

Not to make her life any easier, he passed away too last summer, mostly because of health problems, and it had been another hard step of her life.

Yes she hated him and hated the way he treated her, but maybe in the end, having a responsible parent figure was making life easier.

So it had been a year since she was living with her older brother, the Kook by excellence. He was kind of everything she hated but also everything she had.

With her, he was loving and caring, she couldn't complain. But for the rest of the world, he was just another twenty year old handsome boy, bringing a new hook-up every night and hanging out with the most annoying Kooks of the island.

She hated all of his friends, and didn't feel comfortable when they were around. Except for one of them. Rafe Cameron.

Last year, Rafe and Callie had started dating, and it had been almost a year since he was the person she loved most on earth.

He was an asshole and for sure did too many illegal things, but when it came to her he was another person. He was in love and a simp for her.

Life was easy with him by her side, but she probably didn't realise how essential she was for him.

At first, her dating Rafe Cameron was a problem for her friends, most of all for JJ. But after some time, they just put up with it and it became sort of normal. As long as they didn't have to hang out with him too.

She was sharing her free time between the Pogue life, with her friends, and the Kook life, with her boyfriend.

And just like all of her friends, her mission this summer, was to have a good time, all the time.
