HOME
After coming back from the Cameron's in the morning, Callie spent the day alone at home, not doing anything in particular.
She knew the pogues weren't doing anything special because they all needed time for the tensions to cool down. She cleaned a little bit the house and waited for Cooper to come back home from work, cause maybe this time they'd have an actual conversation. They didn't really talk since they argued about her being arrested before Midsummers.
In the evening, she heard the front door opening as she was watching tv and looked towards it. Cooper made his way inside of the house and looked surprised to see her there. She had been avoiding him for the past days, so having her sitting on the sofa wasn't expected.
"Hey Cal"
"Hi"
He took off his jacket, his shoes and sat on the sofa next to her. "We need to talk don't we?" he said as she rested her legs on his lap, sitting more comfortably.
She nodded and waited for him to go ahead, because she didn't really know where to start. "So.. maybe I've been a little bit too rude to you," he stated. "And I'm really sorry I was, but I can't have a little sister doing pogue things," he added.
"But I'm a pogue Coop. I'm nothing like you"
He sighed and took her legs off him to get closer. "Be a pogue but be a safe pogue then. I lost my parents, I lost my uncle, I can't lose you"
She smiled shyly and nodded, because maybe in the end he just cared about her.
He opened his arms and she gave him a hug, letting go of the anxiety, even though a part of her still felt like something was wrong.
She kept hugging him for a few seconds until it came back to her. "How's Amelia going?"
Cooper pulled away and looked down at her before smiling. "You don't like her do you?"
She shook her head slowly to let him know that indeed, she didn't like her and he laughed. "I broke up with her"
"What? why?"
"Cause she's been mean to you and she was a bitch anyways"
"But it didn't seem like you cared when I pointed it out," she said confused.
"She talked shit about you on the next day, so I realised I couldn't have a girlfriend who didn't like my sister"
She smiled at him, proud, and hugged him again. "Thank you, I'd have done the same if Rafe didn't like you"
He hugged back and kissed her head before pulling away and getting up. "I have to get prepared," he stated.
"Where are you going?"
"To a party, I won't come back home tonight I'll just stay there"

A few hours later, Callie got out of the shower, her wet hair dripping on her oversized tshirt as she heard two knocks on the front door.
She opened the door, drying her hair with a little towel, thinking it was Cooper who had ended up changing his mind, but in fact, not at all.
There, she didn't even have time to realise it was Rafe, she felt his body crashing against hers, stooping to be hugged by her better.
She didn't hug back at first because of how taken aback she was but wrapped her arms around his strong body as she heard him sobbing a little in the crouch of her neck.
