BETTER BE A JOKE

Riding his motorcycle, holding onto him, Callie looked at the landscapes and couldn't help herself from wondering where he was taking her.

Indeed, they were on the cut, and when he stopped his vehicle she noticed a very small house, like a caravan.

"It's here," he spoke as he helped her getting off the motorcycle slowly.

She gazed at the place and saw a few men, drinking, laughing, smoking. "Here?"

He nodded and took her hand in his. They walked to the entrance and that's when she noticed him. Luke Maybank.

He walked up to them, looked at her up and down and continued his way. "Do you know him?" whispered Rafe in her ear but as she was about to reply, a man she didn't know got up and greeted Rafe.

"Hey country club!" he walked to them and Rafe smiled as Callie tried to focus on a weird smell she didn't recognise.

"Hey Barry"

The man looked at Callie up and down and gazed at Rafe. "Country club's girl? I've heard him talking about you like a hundred times"

She smiled awkwardly and looked up at Rafe. She didn't seem to understand really where they were. "Got your delivery bro," Barry spoke and it's when it came back to her.

The smell, it was the smell of drugs.

She understood he was not a friend at all, but his narco dealer. She let go of his hand and looked at her boyfriend as they were already stepping inside. "Hum.. I'll wait for you outside, i guess"

"Yeah if you want baby, I'll be right back," he smiled at her as she went back to the motorcycle and left out a sigh. She couldn't believe it.

A friend.

A few minutes later, he came back to her, smiling. "See? he's such a nice g-"

She cut him off by slapping her hand really hard on his face. "You're kidding me?"

He rubbed his cheek as she had hurt it and looked down at her. "What the fuck? what's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with me?" she laughed nervously and raised her voice tone. "This better be a joke honestly"

"What? you begged me to come baby"

"But you said it was your friend! Not your drug dealer! I can't believe you fucking did this," she yelled at him.

He sighed and rested his hands on her shoulders. "Look he's also my friend, so it doesn't really matter that he's also my dealer"

She laughed nervously and took his hands off her shoulders. "It matters to me," she walked away but he ran at her.

"Why?" he asked and she laughed because it was dumb.

"Because he's ruining your life! Because he's a bad guy, Rafe! And I care!"

She kept walking away, but he wouldn't let her go. He didn't want her to be mad at him, he needed her.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Literally anywhere but here"

"Okay get back on the motorcycle, I'm driving you"

"No I think you've done enough for today Rafe. Really," she walked away from him.

"Cal you can't do that! Come on come back! I'm sorry!" he yelled but she didn't turn back and walked away from him and this weird place.

She arrived home sooner than expected and noticed Cooper's car parked. She got in and joined him in the living room.

"Hey Coop I'm home!" she yelled but no answer.

Was he still mad at her? cause he usually yelled back. Anyways, she got in the living room, decided it would be mature and clever from her to sweep the floor.

As she was about to get started, she noticed Cooper, laying down on the sofa, asleep. She took a blanket and put it over him, and placed a small kiss on his head.

Maybe it'd help him being less mad at her. Hopefully.

She spent a few minutes, maybe an hour, cleaning the floor, and stopped when she heard her brother waking up. He looked kind of lost and surprised to see her home, even more cleaning.

"Damn Cal, you amaze me," he spoke as he sat down.

"Ehh I know I do"

He got up and she rolled eyes, smiling a little. "Look Coop, about the other night I-"

"No," he cut her off and looked down at her, facing her. "I've been thinking about it. It's my fault. Not yours alright? You're my little sister, I shouldn't pressure you"

She stayed silent for a little while and bit the inside of her cheek. "Okay, thanks, I guess," he opened her arms and she gave him a quick hug. She was glad he had apologised and glad they weren't in bad terms anymore, because she knew she needed him.

"Why do you smell like that?" he asked, pulling away a little.

"It's a long story" she replied and as she was about to keep going an explain him the whole thing, her phone rang.

Pope.

"Hey don't worry, you got this," John B reassured the girls.

The boys had called Callie to join them with Kiara because they needed «feminine presence» to distract the guard. Such a sexist thing to say anyways.

So they were here, about to distract the man as the boys were going to steal the drone. "It's not us that we're worried about," Callie replied.

The girls walked to the man's place and Callie replaced her hair correctly.

"Hum.. excuse me?" Kiara almost yelled.

The tall and strong man walked out of the room and went at the girls. "Can I help you?"

"We have a flat tire.. We were wondering if maybe you could help us out?" Callie asked in a fake soft voice. He nodded before going back to his room.

"That's too easy," Kie said, gazing at Callie.

"Men"

The man walked back to them and started eyeing at the tire, both of the girls posing naturally next to him. They both heard a bark and pretended everything was normal. Damn why would they wake up a fucking dog?

"Hear that?"

"Hear what?" Callie asked.

"Tebow's got something," the man answered.

"Ehh must be a raccoon, you know, I've seen so many of them these days," Callie tried to temper but the dog wouldn't stop barking.

As they noticed the man was about to get done with the tire, Kiara quickly went to the other side, letting Callie know with eye contact that she was on charge.

The man looked up at Callie who made him a fake smile and frowned eyebrows before getting up and joining Kiara on the other side of the vehicle. "What are you.. damn," he glanced at Kiara trying to perfore the other tire.

He left the girls and ran back to his position, as they ran away, hoping the boys had still made it.
