disclaimer: this plot doesn't follow at all the plot of obx season 2, it was completely made up by me! Just a reminder that it's between chapter 34 and 35 so Callie didn't have the letter yet!

"Are pregnant women even allowed to get in a hot tub?" Callie asked Pope, worried.

"No don't take this risk, chlorine could cause infections and germs and everything"

"Ew," JJ spoke. "Let's not do that. Surfing sounds safer"

The four of them grabbed their bags and walked to the beach with their surfboard. Pope had warned her surfing wasn't really advised to pregnant women, but it was still physical activity, and it was better than doing nothing.

And honestly she didn't care. She cared about her baby's health but she couldn't stop living and her baby bump wasn't even showing yet anyways.

"Let's hit those waves," Kiara laughed as she ran to the waves holding her board.

They all followed her and surfed as many waves as they could. It was roughly 5pm and the sun was hitting hard on them. Even though it was mid-October, it was still hot outside, but they knew it wouldn't last forever, so they wanted to enjoy every single second surfing.

It felt good to forget about the constant pain of loosing their best friends. They all missed John B and Sarah every hour of every single day, but surfing and doing Pogue things together helped them a lot.

It was for Rafe's loss that Callie couldn't find any way to numb the pain. It was always there, every single second. Whatever she was doing, Rafe was in her mind. His last words were in her mind.

And she was scared to one day forget about his voice, so she just listened to the videos they had taken for hours, and watched their pictures for hours as well.

God, they used to be so happy, together.

As they were surfing, they saw other people walking along the beach and they sat on their boards, still in the water.

"They have boards! Are they gonna just steal our spot?" JJ complained.

"I don't know, why would they come so close when they got all the beach left?" Kiara responded.

They were too far to hear them but the two strangers waved at them and seemed to yell things too. What do they-"

"Wait," Callie spoke. "Am I going crazy or do they look like-"

"John B and Sarah," Pope completed.

The four Pogues looked at each other before swimming and paddling with their boards towards the shore. "It's them!"

"What?"

"Didn't they die two months ago?" Pope asked as they ran to the shore and to them.

John B and Sarah smiled at them and Callie ran so fast she was out of breathe but she didn't care. Tears filled up her eyes as she arrived near them and hugged Sarah very tight.

"How are you alive?" Callie asked, sobbing, as she hugged Sarah even tighter. And for once, those tears were happy tears. "I missed you so much Sarah"

"I missed you too"

The others joined them and harassed John B with questions, before going at Sarah for some news too.

Callie went to John B and hugged him too, smiling. "What happened, why are you still alive? did you spend two months in the phantom?" she asked, even though it was a dumb question because they had found the phantom in sea, without them in it.
