"How long do you think it'll take for him to go back there?"
I looked up from my computer to see Alex sitting at the kitchen table with me.
I sighed.
"I don't know Alex. He's smart. He's probably noticed one of his men hasn't reported back to him already. He must know we killed him or that we at least still have him."
"I'm sure we'll find him. He can't have gone too far. Several of your men have spotted him. It's only a matter of time before he comes out of hiding. He's too cocky to stay out of sight."
"Your right it's just I have a bad feeling about this."
"You have a bad feeling about everything."
I looked up to see him grimacing at the table. I thought he was serious until he looked up at me and his face broke out into a wide smile.
"Ha ha very funny."
"I know. I'm hilarious."

Davina's POVI haven't gotten any texts from Tristan in a few days and it really worries me.
Don't get any ideas it's not because I care about him.
The last thing he said just won't stop replaying in my mind.
'i have a feeling we'll be seeing more of each other'
I should stop worrying. It's a good thing he hasn't contacted me.
I should move on with my life and stop trying to get involved in whatever he's up to.
I mean if the cops find out it's him who killed all those people they might dig into more about me after seeing him hanging around me so much.
I can't have that.
Taking a deep breath I head back into the diner.
"How was your break?"
I smiled at my boss. I've never had a boss so laid back and so long as everything goes according to plan I won't have to leave town again.
I hate starting over.
"It was good."
I grab my apron, slip it on and grab a notepad to take down orders.
I look up from the ground and I see him.
Alex?
I never thought he would come to a place like this.
Of course he would come here to spy on me for his boss.
How pathetic. If Tristan wants to check up on me why can't he do it himself?
With confidence I walk up to his table.
"What are you doing here? Are you spying on me for him."
He looks up at me with confusion.
"I didn't even know you worked here. And that would be stupid on his part to use someone you've already met to keep an eye on you. I just really like this place. I come here often and I've never seen you here."
