I kept pacing until I heard another explosion, but this one was close. It came from down the hall. I looked at Anika

"Open this now!" I said as I heard a scream, she looked down the hall and at me.

"Shuri is in trouble, open this now!" I snapped and she finally let the shield down, I touched my necklace to put my suit on, on the way out. I heard Shuri yell, I turned and ran into her lab. She was fighting off one of Thano's men I hit him from the back knocking him down then I ran over to Shuri, she was unconscious. The thing was back on his feet coming towards me but Anika blocked him, I looked over to see Vision struggling to his feet. Just as that thing knocked out Anika. He glanced at me then he ran at Vision. I went after him, I hit him with a huge ball of wind which sent him flying into Vision and they both went through the window. I flew after them and caught Vision hallway down.

"Are you alright?" I asked him once we touch the ground he held his head

"We have to destroy the stone."

"No, we're going to get you back inside, and get it out safely." I said taking his arm to help him back up

"Watch out!" He knocked me out of the way, the thing attached his blade to the stone, causing Vision to scream in pain. I shot him with a bolt of lighting knocking him off. Then I attacked, I caught him in at hold of lightning shocking him, then I used the wind to send him head fight into a rock, I glanced behind me and Vision was gone

"Vision?" I called then I felt a blow to the back of my head, I stumbled but I swung back on him connecting to his already bleeding head. He came at me again, but he was blocked by Steve, who knocked him back. We took him down fighting two on one, I had to give him it him he was holding his own. He kicked me in the chest and sent my flying using my powers I managed to land on my feet. He had Steve on his knees but before he could make another move, he was stabbed in the chest... by Vision

"I thought I told you to go." Steve said to him

"We don't trade lives captain." He told him as I walked over

"Are you ok?" Steve asked me and I nodded as Vision fell to his knees I kneeled down and grabbed his arm

"We have to get him back inside," I said as Wanda landed in front of us and ran over

"Are you alright?" She asked cupping his cheek, I stood up as T'Challa, and the others came running over

"Oh, he's really dead this time." Nat said as she looked at the guy on the ground

"Storm held him off." Steve said nodding to me as T'Challa removed his helmet and looked at me I was so mad at him but now wasn't the time

"We have to get back to Shuri." I said feeling guilty because I almost forgot about her

Vision started to stand when he screamed out in pain holding the stone,

"What is it?" Wanda asked him

"He's here."

We looked around

"Do you hear that?" T'Challa asked

"I don't hear anything." Sam said

"Exactly" he said that's when I noticed it was very quiet we kept looking for signs of Thanos.

Out of nowhere a purple portal appeared a few yards away, and this giant purple thing walked through. You ever met someone so evil you could feel the darkness radiate off of them? that's this guy.

"Cap that's him." Bruce confirmed

"Everyone eyes up and stay sharp."

We all moved into position, I flew straight at him, all he did was hold up his hand the blue stone flashed and I felt a force around my neck, choking me he moved his hand and sent me flying backwards I heard my head hit the ground. I heard the yelling I heard more bodies being thrown around but overall, I could feel the power. There was literally power radiating from him, nothing like I ever felt before. Then there was silence.

I was seeing double as I sat up I felt like I was going to be sick. I could hear Steve from a distance shouting 'where did he go'

"Ayesha!" T'Challa's face appeared in front of me

"Are you alright?" He asked and I slowly nodded

"Are you ok?" I asked when I saw the cut on side of his face

"Yes, I'll be ok." He said wrapping his arm around my waist, I put my hand on his arm as he was helping me to my feet. I looked into his brown eyes when they faded to dust and I fell back to the ground after losing his support. I blinked twice hoping I was just seeing things, but he wasn't there.

"T'Challa! T'Challa!" I stood up trying to shake the dizzy feeling

"T'CHALLA!" I screamed

"Where is he!?" Okoye asked as she ran over, I shook my head

"I don't know he was just here! He disappeared right out of my arms!" I looked around again

"T'CHALLA!"

It was his dream, except I lost him.

Two days later

We lost.

We lost big time, T'Challa was gone, so was Shuri, Ayo, Sam, Bucky, Wanda, and Vision. We had no idea how to find Tony. Everything was a mess, there have been more mass casualties not just from the ones who disappeared but when some of those people disappeared while, driving, flying, working. The remaining Avengers went back to the compound yesterday and have been sending me updates ever since. We know we lost Fury, and Maria Hill but they found some sore of homing pager in the car where they disappeared with some weird symbol none of us have ever seen. Bruce said it was emitting a tracking signal so they were keeping me updated on if they heard anything.

We brought our citizens down from the mountains and were slowly doing a census. To see how big of a loss we took. We lost two of the elders one from the border tribe, and other from the river tribe, Nakia's father. I spoke with her early today thankfully she was alive and well, I tried to convince her to come back but she's adamant that she's needed over there. My pops was also ok, and I'm grateful for that.

I stood in the throne room looking out at the night sky over the city, it was only half lit we were keeping everyone sanctioned until we got an accurate count. For the millionth time today I twisted my wedding ring around on my finger it brought me some comfort I guess

"Child what are you doing up?" I turned to see Ramonda in the doorway, I gave her a small smile

"I couldn't sleep." I admitted I didn't realize how big that bed was until I was in it alone, it just doesn't feel right.

"Ayesha, you have to rest, you making yourself sick won't help anything." She told me. I just looked at her in awe this women was a pillar of strength she just lost both of her children, but she been by my side for the past two day trying to make sense of all of this.

"I know I um.... I just miss him so much." I swallowed the lump in my throat and blinked back the tears, it's too early, we can still fix this. I can't give up yet

She walked over and hugged me

"I know. Trust me I know all to well what you are feeling, we still have to have hope."

"I know, I know I keep telling myself that my emotions are just all over the place I just can't seem to pull them in." I said shaking my head, she looked at me

"How far along are you?" She asked and I looked at her in shock

"A mother knows."

"Nine weeks I found out a few days ago, and I never got a chance to tell him."

"You will, I believe this will work out but no matter what you will always have me. You are my daughter too." She said then gave me another hug

"Come let's get you some tea then I want you to try and get some rest." She said wrapping her arm around me as we walked out of the throne room.
