I checked my makeup again, but the mirror was pulled from my hand

"Stop it that's the third time you checked. You look beautiful." He said then kissed me

"Ugh." Shuri said I laughed

"I've met your family before, don't be nervous."

"It's different we're together now and I haven't brought anyone to meet my family before, and Shuri is here."

"It will be fine I get along with your family and no one likes Shuri so don't worry about that." He said and she hit his arm

"Jerk," she said

We had been in America for two weeks down finalizing plans for them to break ground on the outreach center. T'Challa also took Shuri to Disneyland so she was having the time of her life. We were now in D.C. visiting my family then tomorrow were going to Vienna, where T'Challa was going to tell the world about Wakanda. He has this new air of confidence around him now and it was so sexy. He already was but since he was no longer trying to think like T'Chaka it was really shining through.

"Leave her alone." I said pushing him lightly

"Yeah leave me alone." She said as he parked the car in front of Pops's house. We walked in and you could smell the food cooking

"Pops?"

"Kitchen." He called back and I led T'Challa and Shuri into the living room

"Did you guys want something to drink?" I asked

"Pop please any kind." Shuri said and I looked at T'Challa

"I'm fine."

"Hi Dorothy." I said the housekeeper has been around forever, so she was basically family

"Hey sweetheart." She said giving me a hug as Pops checked the pots on the stove

"Look at you!" I said with a smile he was moving but he still had a boot on

"He should still be resting." She scolded

"I can help a little."

"He tried to cook the whole meal."

"Pop why don't we let Dorothy finish, I brought T'Challa and Shuri are in the living room go say hi and I'll get you something to drink." I told him and he hugged me then left the kitchen

"Thank goodness he was on my last nerve." She said

"How has he been doing?"

"His physical therapy has been going well, but he never wants to take it easy."

"That's nothing new. How are you?"

"These old bones are hanging in there but look at you." She said with a smile

"What?"

"You're glowing, your hair is shining, face is fuller." She came over and poked my belly

"What?" I laughed and she gave me a look, she just smirked and went back to making dinner

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked and she zipped her lips, I laughed then grabbed Shuri's pop and a glass of wine for Pops and went back into the living room and saw Uncle James had arrived. We sat and made small talk until dinner was ready

"It is good to see you two together." Pops said to us and I looked at T'Challa with a smile

"I think I made him wait long enough." I said and he laughed

"That is very true, I'm just happy this is the end result." He said and I kissed his cheek

"You two are disgusting." Uncle James said and I rolled my eyes

"Thank you! I've had to deal with this all week." Shuri added and they started talking about us

"There is actually something I wanted to talk to you about senator Rhodes." He said

"Stop with the senator nonsense it's Abasi." He said

"Abasi, I'm opening Wakanda up to the world. We are here because we are breaking ground on a new outreach center in California."

"I think that is wonderful."

"I am also planning to open a Wakandan embassy, either here in D.C or New York. I heard you were thinking about stepping down from the senate I was hoping you would run it."

"I would be honored." He said with a big smile

"It would be at least a year before we could get everything up and running, we are going to the U.N tomorrow to make it know Wakanda will be an ally for help."

"That is going to change the world, are you ready?" Uncle James asked

"We are it's time for us to be a part of the change."

We made it back to our hotel, Shuri was going for a late-night swim, while T'Challa and I went up to our room. I had just got done using the bathroom and as I washed my hands I looked up at my reflection. My cheeks were a little puffy but not much and I looked at my hair it's grew a little now falling at my shoulder blades. I took a step back and lifted my shirt and poked it like she did

"Not a chance." I said then turned to the side,

"You're tripping Ayesha." I said pulling my shirt down then walked out the bathroom, T'Challa was in bed texting. I smiled at him I loved this man, I just loved saying that

"What are you up to?" he asked looked at me

"Nothing." I shook my head and got in bed next to him laying my head on his chest, he wrapped an arm around me as he finished his text then sat the phone down, he looked down at me

"What is it?" He asked I sat up and kissed him

'I'm just happy, you make me happy." I said climbing on top of him he smirked and kissed me, and I pushed him back against the pillows as his arms circled my waist.
