My uncle is an airbender. He definitely wasn't an airbender before. What happened while I was isolating myself from the world?

"Rise and sun, Jay!" The window in my room opened abruptly.

"Korra, no." I groaned. "It's too early."

"Nope. It's not too early. Plus, your uncle is an airbender now so your father requests your assistance."

"No. I'm not helping with that. I can't."

"Jay." Korra sat on the edge of my bed.

"I can't. Even if I wanted to, it's hard."

"I get it. I lost Raava."

"You got her back though."

"I know, but Tera wouldn't want you to sit around all day and you know that. Look, I'm not taking no for an answer." Korra grabbed my hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. "We miss you. So just hang out with us. Just for a little. Then you can go back to bed."

"Fine." I swallowed my pride.

"Thank you." Korra kissed my forehead like she usually does. "Oh, and, your dad wants you to wear your robes. Sorry!" Korra left my room without another word. I sighed. I walked over to my closet and found my robes.

They miss me...

"Maybe Uncle Bumi is just a late bloomer." I heard Ikki say.

"I have been noticing a change in your aura lately." Kya says, feeling Bumi's energy. I walked up to stand in the background.

"And you didn't tell me?" Bumi continues airbending while Mako and Lin approach the group.

"Invisible spirit monster attack?" Lin asks my dad.

"Lin, you won't believe this. Bumi just started airbending." Lin and Mako widened their eyes in surprise at what my dad just said.

"I'm afraid he's not the only one." Lin said.

"What?" My dad and Korra questioned at the same time. I stepped forward and made my presence known. Korra looked at me up and down quickly to notice I was wearing my airbending robe. She sent me a quick smile before facing towards Lin and Mako once again.

"I got a call last night. About a guy who just started airbending out of nowhere." Mako explained.

"You mean there's another one? Where is he now?" My dad asked, eagerly.

"He... blew a door down on me and got away. We got an all-points bulletin out on him right now." I tried to contain a small laugh, but it slipped out. "The guy was strong, okay?"

"I don't doubt that. At all. It's just kind of funny that an inexperienced airbender knocked you on your ass."

"Ha, ha." Mako said, unamused.

"We should get going." Lin said. Mako and he began to walk away.

Korra calls out to them, stopping them in their tracks. "Wait, we'll help you look for him. Where should we start?"

"Oh, well, y'know, you should leave it with the police. It's ... police business. Y'know. It's um ... official." Mako said, awkwardly.

"Okay." Korra says. My dad slides away to leave the awkward situation. "How are you doing? You know, you're welcome to stay here instead of sleeping at the police station." Asami steps forward as Korra finishes her offer.

"No, I'm fine. I should just get... going. So! As you were," Mako salutes. "Ladies." He marches off awkwardly leaving Korra, Asami, and I confused.
