It was around 6pm, Rick and Negan were outside on the front porch, enjoying the silence. Negan sighed deeply, making Rick notice;he looked at him with concern.
"We should go out, do something. The kids aren't home, it's the perfect time to." Negan mentioned, turning his glare to Rick, who took a sip from his drink. "I don't know, I'm tired, but where do you wanna go?" Rick asked, intrigued to know.
Negan tapped his finger against his glass - thinking. "A bar? Just relax and enjoy a few drinks?" Negan rised from his chair and stepped in front of Rick, looking down at him, "come on, it'll be fine." He reached his hand out and grabbed Rick's arm, pulling him up. Rick groaned in response, wanting to sit back down.
"Ok, fine. Go get your keys, you're driving." Rick shrugged, stepping off of the porch and heading to Negan's car. A minute later, Negan came running out of the house like a little kid, quickly getting in the car. Rick smiled to himself, muffling a laugh.
"What's got you all excited?" Rick asked, tilting his head as he watched Negan start the car. Negan drove off, smiling wide.
"Well, I'm glad the kids aren't home - I mean," Negan sighed, rolling his eyes at himself, "I'm just glad we have a few days to ourselves. I know you need it." He corrected himself, turning his attention to Rick as he placed his hand on his thigh, squeezing him gently.
Rick smiled softly, putting his hand on top of Negan's. "Yeah. Works been stressin' me out lately, we're always so busy." Rick mentioned, softly sighing. He looked at Negan, watching as a grin spread across his face;a suspicious one.
"How about when we get home, I de-stress you a bit?" He drawled, parting his lips with his tongue as he shined his teeth at Rick. Rick smirked softly at him, clenching his jaw.
Of course the one weekend without the kids, Negan didn't wanna relax and take a break. He wanted to devour Rick like he's been waiting years to do it - well, months actually, but it felt just as long. He wants to leave Rick a mess, crawling back to him for more...begging for more.
"I think I'll take your offer just uh - be gentle with me, you know I'm tired." Rick mumbled his last few words, blinking at Negan slowly.
Negan smiled, softly for once. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you." He joked, letting out a brief chuckle. Rick shook his head back and forth, "Yeah, very convincing, Negan." He scoffed, still smiling somewhat.
They soon parked in front of the bar, getting out of the car to walk inside;hand in hand. As they entered, Rick noticed everyone's eyes on them, but Negan of course didn't care. He tightened his grip on Rick.
Before they even sit down, Negan's quick to order drinks, throwing a soft smile to the bartender.
"You know her?" Rick asks, a slight tone of jealousy deep in his voice. Negan shakes his head back and forth, "Nah, just bein' friendly." He says simply, brushing off Rick's jealousy.
Negan subtly moved his chair closer to Rick before sitting down, making sure they're within each other's touch, as Negan places his hand on Rick's thigh, rubbing his thumb against the harsh material of Rick's jeans.
Rick can't help but notice the eyes still on them, like they haven't stopped staring since they stepped foot in this place. Most of them seem to be bikers - leather jackets with patches, sturdy boots;making their steps loud and clear.
His heart begins to pound harder and faster, feeling a knot form in his stomach. Negan watches Rick as he glances around the bar, taking in his surroundings.
"Hey," Negan spoke softly, gently grabbing Rick's face to turn his head towards him, "relax, you don't need to be on edge. Just let them stare, ok? Look at me instead." Rick locked onto Negan's eyes, seeing the calmness and assurance in them. He breathed deeply before speaking.
