April's POV:

I hear a knock at the door while Barren and I are playing Jenga

"I'll be right back." I say standing up, he nods while taking out his Jenga piece with complete concentration

"Oh hey!" I say with a smile seeing Y/n standing there a smile forming on her face when she sees me

"Hi, uh so my friends wanted to meet you and Barren. They are chilling at my house right now. I just wanted to come over here and ask before just barging in with the crackheads." she says putting her hands in her pockets and walking closer to me only making my heart beat increase for some reason because she always does this. This time it's different

"Oh, okay." I check my watch and it's almost lunch time "Yeah they can come over and I can cook some lunch." I suggest

"Cool! Okay, I'll see you in a minute." she says and places a smile peck on my lips before jogging off to her house. I smile and slowly close the door and walk over back to Barren

"Proving my point even more." he says

"Oh be quiet." I smile and start cleaning up Jenga then starting on lunch. Moments later there is yet again another knock on the door

"I got it!" Barren yells walking over and opening it "Y/n!" he yells making me smile "And...friends." he says hesitantly making me giggle. I hear them walk in and over into the kitchen. I turn around facing all of her friends

"Oh...wow." the brunette haired guy breaths out

"Holy shit." a blonde girls says

"Damn." a black haired girl says, all of their comments making me blush, and smile more than I already am

"Well okay, this is Anthony, Amelia, and Victoria." Y/n says pointing at them

"It's nice to meet you all." I say

"It is so nice to finally meet you Ms. We have heard so much about you." Amelia says making me laugh a little

"Just call me April." I smile

"Yeah Y/n over there is such a fucking simp." Anthony says

"Now I'm regretting this." Y/n says putting her head in her hands

"Oh come on you don't want the best people you have ever met to meet your wifey." Victoria teases

"No, not when y'all act like this. It's fucking embarrassing." Y/n says shaking her head

"I don't know, I'm entertained." Barren says chiming in

"I like this kid." every single one of her friends says at the same time making them all laugh. I smile and shake my head then continue to cook. It's nice to have company again. Even if they are all children compared to me, it's still comforting. I feel a pair of familiar arms wrap around my waist while I cook

"Mmm, smells good." Y/n says

"Really? I haven't cooked like this in a long-." she cuts me off

"I meant you, love." she whispers against my neck then placing one single kiss on it. A sensation is sent through my body that is so familiar yet un-familiar. Then she walks away leaving me there standing flustered

"Mom, I like these guys too, can we have them over more often?" Barren asks from the living room, I turn around seeing all Y/n's friends including Y/n and Barren with smiles on their faces

"Of course, any one of you is welcome at anytime." I say smiling. Why I do I feel like I'm babysitting?
