Y/n's POV:

April leaves to open the door and me and Barren are just chilling in the living room

"Hey Tom." I hear a shaky voice say, wait. Excuse me. How- What? Barren and I both quickly snap our heads at each other then in the direction of the front door. There's no way. Why in the fucking Hell is he here? I motion my head towards the kitchen while looking at Barren

"Say you're hungry." I whisper to him

"I'm hungry Y/n." He kind of yells but not really. We get up and walk to the kitchen

"Oh, I see you have company." the disgusting thing of a man says, while walking in without an invitation. This dude, I'm going to fight him. I grab some Dino nuggets out of the freezer and face away from them, clenching my teeth

"Okay, you can't just come here with no explanation and invite yourself in." April says "How did you even know where I live?" she asks, I put the nuggets in the oven and turn around facing them while leaning on the counter

"More important question. Who the fuck is this?" he asks pointing at me as if I'm the intruder. I raise my eyebrow at him and clench my fists, April sees and gives me a reassuring look. Barren walks over to me and does the same thing I'm doing

"Why does it matter? Why are you here?! After two years why now? Why are you back? Hmm? I don't need you here. We got a divorce, and I can get a restraining order if needed." April says, that's my girl, tell him off

"Because I finally came to terms with what I did and I realize I need you back. I want you back. Barren too. I want to have that father and son time again, bud." he says trying to sweet talk them. Barren shakes his head

"No, don't call me that. Y/n has been more of a 'father' than you ever have." Barren says, almost making me want to cry. He looks up at me and smiles, I smile back then look at Tom. His faces has nothing but anger. He walks towards me and gets in my face. I may be a little taller

"You think you can come in here and take my family? Huh?" he asks, is he okay? Does he not realize it's been two years?

"Last time I checked you cheated on this goddess of a women. Only took care of Barren for a short period of time. And then come back here trying sweet talk? And for what? Are you lonely again? Your hook up leave you or something?" I say leaning up off the counter getting ready to fight this dude. I see his jaw clench but before I actually punch him I feel a hand around my bicep. I look over and down seeing April shaking her head and mouthing 'Don't' "I want you to leave before I make you, asshole." I say, he chuckles and backs away a little

"Okay, I'll leave, but I'll be back to show you that you need me." he says pointing to April then leaving with a slam of the door. I look at Barren who lets out a sight then heads to his room. I look over at April and she looks at me with tears in her eyes. I quickly pull her into a hug, one hand on the back of her head and the other on her mid-back. We stand there as she sobs into my shirt that she's clinging onto for dear life. I rest my chin on her head and rub her back. I don't know what else to do. If there even is anything.
