It's the Day

April's POV:

Todays the day, Y/n is finally going off to college. Her car is parked out in front of her house while her and her parents pack up stuff. Stuffing the boxes in her car along with other things. Barren and I are sitting on my porch watching the Y/l/n family walk in and out of the house, with occasional smiles and waves from Y/n, of course I wave and smile back. Barren is really taking this whole moving thing to heart. I can see the tears in his eyes about to spill, but never do, he just blinks them away. In all honesty I think Barren likes, loves, Y/n a lot more than I do

"Mom, why can't Y/n just stay here and do college. I remember you telling me there is online college, why can't she do that?" Barren asks looking out at the other houses

"Well, she wants the college experience, bear. She will come to visit, too. She's not completely leaving." I say with hope in my voice, what if she does leave me? Us?

"Do you think she will forget about us?" he asks, she better not or I'm cutting if that di-

"No, Y/n?! Forget about us?! No such thing, you mean to much to her bear." I say remembering the conversation Y/n and I had one night after sex of course.

*Flashback*

"You know, I consider Barren my own kid."
Y/n says out of the blue as we lay in bed cuddling

"Well, he considers you his mom." I say rubbing the side of her face with my hand as we face each other

"I'm glad because some kids just don't accept the new guy or girl in their parents lives." she says rubbing my back, I smile and peck her lips

"You're amazing, babe." I say rubbing her cheek with my thumb. She smiles and kisses my forehead then pulls me close to her

"Uno reverse." Y/n says right before we fall asleep.

*Flashback Ends*

"April! Barren! Time for see you laters!" Y/n's mom yells, she told me that when Y/n leaves it's never a goodbye. They always say 'see you later' because Y/n always comes back. Barren and I nod then get up and walk over. Well, Barren runs and jumps on Y/n engulfing her in a bear hug. I giggle at the interaction then look over seeing Y/n'a parents tearing up

"I'm going to miss you Y/n." Barren mumbles in Y/n's shoulder, you can hear the obvious crying coming from him. I can tell Y/n is tearing up herself

"I'm going to miss you too buddy." she says rubbing his back then putting him down. He wipes his eyes and smiles at me, indicating it's my turn. Y/n walks up to me wrapping her arms securely around my neck, I wrap mine around her waist and we just stand there. The silent sobs leaving my mouth is the only thing it be heard. Y/n's parents and Barren walked off a little to give us some privacy

"D-Do you r-really h-have to g-go?" I ask in between sobs, God why am I so emotional. She sniffles then chuckles

"Yeah, I do." she says pulling away but still holding me close. She wipes my tears and places a long kiss on my lips "I love you." she whispers, I smile widely because she finally got the courage to say it out loud

"I love you too." I whisper back, she smiles and we kiss for a little longer. I cant believe the time has come. She's leaving, she'll be back though. Right?
